Breaking: Save Our Bones Is Now Doctor Trusted™ Certified (A Rating!)

doctor-trusted

If I had to describe Savers, the first thing I’d say is that they’re most certainly a very smart bunch.

What more would I say?

  • That they’re fearless, yet cautious
  • That they rely on science but question everything
  • That they always use common sense

No less important is their open-mindedness and willingness to break away from the mainstream ideology.

These qualities make Savers a rare breed, and for me it’s a privilege and a welcomed challenge to provide you with insights and drug-free practical ideas to effectively battle bone loss. This is perhaps the biggest challenge of my life, and rest assured that I’m 100% committed to it.

I am truly thankful for each and everyone of you in the community, which spans just about every country in the world and every walk of life, including…

Exceptional doctors.

A perfect example is Dr. Robert Salter, whom I had the honor of meeting a few years ago. A world renowned Orthopedic Surgeon, professor, and author (his textbook on Orthopedics is currently used in thousands of universities world-wide), Dr. Salter was never afraid to break away from the pack.

No wonder he was named one of the 10 most outstanding scientists of the past 80 years! Unfortunately, he passed away almost exactly four years ago, but his legacy lives on.

I know that he didn’t take his endorsement of the Save Our Bones Program (see it below) lightly. With his brilliant mind, he most certainly dissected each and every word he read. We also met in Toronto for long hours of fascinating discussion:

Having read the Save Our Bones Program, by Vivian Goldschmidt MA, I am pleased to recommend it as essential for all persons involved with preventing and treating osteoporosis.”

Dr. Robert B. Salter, MD, CC, OOnt, FRSC, FRCSC, FACS, Canada

And now the tradition continues – I’m proud to announce that…

Save Our Bones has received an ‘A’ rating by Doctor Trusted™

You may see the Doctor Trusted™ logo seal on the bottom right of your screen. In order to receive Doctor Trusted™ Certification, a business must meet all of their strict requirements and ethical code of conduct such as:

  • Making science-based health claims
  • Passing a rigorous due diligence check
  • Offering ethical pricing and billing policy
  • Including fair return and refund policy

Dr. Daniel Hanley, a member of the Doctor Trusted network, has personally confirmed all the above information. He too is an open-minded physician with a stellar background. Among other positions, he was the Research Program Coordinator for the prestigious Johns Hopkins University.

As you can see, Save Our Bones is moving forward in all possible ways to keep up with the needs and desires of our growing community. So stay tuned for more exciting news in the near future.

    Dear Vivian,

I am very grateful for your help and advice, and enjoy reading weekend challenges. However, the “doctor trusted” logo is obscuring some of the text when these articles are printed, which is a bit irritating. Can anything be done to re-position these logos?

    Kind regards, Penny Shorten

    Congratulations Vivian,
You thoroughly deserve this recognition. I thought your book was excellent, and your ongoing blog is extremely interesting and helpful. I always read it and try to keep up to date, and have recommended it to others who are also now members. I like the way you always give reasons for everything, and there is no blind acceptance asked for. Keep up the good work – it is much appreciated.
    James

Hi Vivian – We all know how helpful your research and blog posts are, and now it’s great that you’re being recognized by medical professionals too! Thank you for all the valuable information, suggestions, and encouragement you’ve given us over the years.

  8. Helen Sears June 14, 2014, 8:57 pm

Congratulations, and very well earned and deserved! Your fortitude, patience, and careful research are changing everything in the approach to bone health. And for patients, you’re transforming fear into strength. You certainly did for me. I was supposed to be in a wheelchair five years ago, according to the doctors. Instead, my osteoporosis is reversing itself. Your efforts being officially recognized calls for dancing in the kitchen, plus a square of (alkaline) dark chocolate. Bravo!!

    Hi Vivian

A hearty CONGRATULATIONS to you Vivian!

After I read your story of bad effects from taking FORSOMAX, I stopped taking it mainly due to my jaws got dislodged and I had mouth sores where I was not able to eat—had to eat porridge until my mouth healed. I also follow Natalie Cordova’s exercises every morning. Thanks to you for all these valued information that I have adopted. I still have sore neck and shoulders ache but they are improving.
    THANKS AGAIN VIVIAN

Congratulations Vivian and all of us Savers! It is about time that your work was validated, although all of us following your program didn’t need it. Can’t even begin to thank you enough for saving me from all the drugs. My bones are strong, no more pain, no more stomach upset, no more worry! I hope that your success leads the way to more “simple” drug free cures, most that venture here are shut down before they are even heard. With love and thanks.

  18. helen June 13, 2014, 2:33 pm

    Hi Vivian

Have read your write-ups with such interest. I was diagnosed as having osteoporosis about 8 years ago because I slipped and had broken my wrist. I read that the drug I have been taking once a week Alendronate is not good after 5 years. Could you please help me over this. Thank you so much. And also recommend something that I can take with care.

  19. ita June 13, 2014, 1:08 pm

congratulations Vivian, well done and thank you for all the info. Ita.

  21. Rachel June 13, 2014, 11:52 am

Congratulations Vivian on the “A” rating of the Save Our Bones Program! After
being diagnosed with having low bone density two months ago, I have made the decision not to take the drug prescribed to me
(Teva Alendronate) after learning of its side effects. I became very motivated to
finding a more natural way to improve my bone density, especially the -3 score in my lower back.
I discovered SOB program and have been dedicated to making very positive changes to my diet and exercise, through your encouragement. Also, with my scientific background, I really appreciate that the information that you give us is based on actual scientific publications. I always look forward to your emails.
Thank you so much Vivian. You are a gift and a blessing!

  22. Lchene June 13, 2014, 11:06 am

    Congratulations!
I have a question about bone density : if bone density is only a very rough estimate of fracture risk, hence not a good indication of the quality of the bone, is it a better indicator of bone strength when bone density increases for the same person ?
Does an naturally increased bone density really a very good indicator of bone strength?
    Thank you.

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA June 13, 2014, 11:49 am

Good question, Lchene! The thing about bone density scans is this: a scan that shows increased density can mean your bones are stronger and more flexible, or it could simply mean they are harder and more brittle, such as occurs with osteoporosis drugs. If your DEXA score increases and you’ve been eating a pH-balanced diet and getting regular exercise, then it’s likely that the higher numbers are good indicators of better bone health. I hope that makes sense! :)

  23. Maur GB June 13, 2014, 9:42 am

I am a newcomer to SOB and I want to add my sincere thanks Vivian for all you do.
I have started following your plan after my diagnosis for osteoperosis, refusing advice from my doctor to start medication. he was not happy with my decission.
Am looking forward to my next dexa scan to prove him wrong.
It’s a great that so many people have tapped in to your knowledge.
    Thankyou again..

  24. Karla June 13, 2014, 9:33 am

    Pat

  26. Vivian Goldschmidt, MA June 13, 2014, 8:28 am

I want to take a moment and thank all of you who have written in kind and encouraging notes, letting all of us know how much the Save Our Bones Program has meant to you! Amazingly, there are just too many positive notes to reply to each one individually.

I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to know that the Program has helped so many people so much. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

  27. Linda Spencer June 13, 2014, 8:11 am

CONGRATS! This definetly will stop my husband from fussing at me about “believeing everything I read on the internet “! My score is -3 and he and I both are terrified of me breaking a bone. I am 62. Hopefully now he will see this site isnt “ran by people trying to profit off of others misfortune”. WOW You just made my morning! Best of luck in your service to us all Vivian! Thanks for all you do to keep us informed and safe.

  28. Terry June 13, 2014, 8:07 am

  29. Cleotilde > Sayson June 13, 2014, 7:27 am

Thank you so much. I too discontinue using Fosamax against my doctor’s advise to continue using it. I am doing better using the advice I read from the Save Our Bones book I bought.

Congratulation to you. I am happy that your work is being accepted by prestigious doctors and the community. I was met with disbelief the first time I made it known I stopped using what my doctor prescribed and using a method against the advice of my doctor.

  30. Joan June 13, 2014, 5:56 am

Congratulations Vivian.Feeling better that I do not have to worry about the side effects of taking Alendronic, having stopped them over a year ago.Don’t always follow the SOB, 100% but do what I feel I can do.Kind Regards

  32. Bea June 13, 2014, 5:16 am

Congratulations, Vivian! I’m 83 years old and was taking Fosamax daily for ten years. Against doctors orders, I stopped taking Fosamax six years ago due to the acid reflux that it was causing. I found your website and ordered your books. Thank you for your excellent advice on eating the right foods and exercises – some cause difficulty for me. Also, I’m on the treadmill every day! Thank you, and again, Congratulations!!

  33. Mary Walsh June 13, 2014, 5:06 am

  34. Jean June 13, 2014, 5:05 am

Congratulations!! I am so glad a friend told me about this site. I am learning that even at 63 I can change my body and get comfort & strength back in the knowledge that I learn here and not rely on pharmaceuticals that don’t do the job anyway. You have kept me learning and “searching on” to improve my bones. Jean

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA June 13, 2014, 8:30 am

Jean, many people wonder if their bones will respond after a certain age. The answer is a definite yes! :)

  35. Chris June 13, 2014, 5:03 am

Looking good! Perhaps this endorsement might help to convince my cosultant here in England when I show him your site. I try to eat right, I’m following your exercises and I’m RESISTING!!! They seem to have closed minds here or perhaps I’ve just been unlucky. Then again I had the same fight when I became hyper thyroid…… Look forward to your emails. Thank you
