    I am 86 and in good health except for Scoliosis and Polymyalgia Rheumatica, The scoliosis is getting worse. I attend Strechees 3 times a week and Yoga twice a week. Is there anything I can do to help myself? I have just started taking CalMax. I am on Prednisone (4 mgs daily) for the polymyalgia.

      Hi, I can relate to you as we have a similar problem I will be 86 in a few months.I too have PMR and am currently taking 4mg. prednisone daily. After taking prednisone for a little over a year I stopped for about 6 months and then PMR came back. Before I took prednisone I had improved my bone density. After taking prednisone my bone density decreased to -2.5. I am due for another bone density in February.

    I am drinking tap water which has passed through a filter in my refrigerator. I could buy distilled water or purified water at the grocery store, but that comes in a plastic bottle. Which would be preferable?

      Probably the distilled water in the plastic jug, as your refrigerator filter probably doesn’t remove the fluoride, which is the big problem.
