Accelerate Bone Building With These Two Delicious Liver-Cleansing Soups - Save Our Bones

I’m really excited to share with you today an easy trick to build and rejuvenate your bones.

It involves a quick way to create an alkaline environment that helps your body’s detoxification system neutralize and flush out the excess acid and toxins.

Believe it or not, you can achieve this with two scrumptious, alkalizing soups, perfect for warming up during the winter.

Besides their powerfully liver-detoxifying ingredients, they are also rich in fiber, making them ideal for cleansing.

Let’s begin by taking a closer look at the two cleansing types of fiber.

The Many Benefits Of Fiber

This may surprise you: the health benefits of fiber go beyond its well-known ability to improve bowel regularity and decrease cholesterol levels. Amazingly, fiber can have a positive effect on multiple body systems.

There are two main types of fiber, soluble and insoluble, and both are healthful. Soluble fiber actually comes from within the cells of the plant, so it absorbs water on its way through the digestive tract. It becomes thick and gel-like.

Insoluble fiber is from the outside of a plant’s structure, like apple skin or wheat bran. It moves through the digestive system without much change, adding bulk and softness to the body’s waste matter.

Both types of fiber bind to toxins and help them move out of the body.

Fiber Is Critical For Liver Health

To best understand how fiber affects the liver, we’ll go over a process known as enterohepatic circulation. The primary purpose of enterohepatic circulation is to clear out fat-soluble waste from the blood. This is achieved by the regulation of bile’s progression from the liver to the small intestine, and then back to the liver.

Your liver deposits poisons and wastes into the bile as it is manufactured by the gallbladder. The bile then gets sent to the duodenum, the first part of the small intestine, where it helps break down fats.

If you are eating plenty of fiber, it binds to these toxins in the small intestine, and gets “ushered out” via the bile as it makes its way from the intestine to the bloodstream and back to the liver.

Meanwhile, the gallbladder makes a fresh supply of toxin-free bile, and the process begins again.

But without enough fiber, the bile, with its toxic load, gets absorbed back through the intestinal wall and into the bloodstream, where it makes its way back to the liver again. Then the bile keeps re-circulating, becoming more and more saturated with toxins.

This buildup contributes to gallbladder issues and inflammation, and as Savers know, inflammation damages your bones. In short, too little fiber contributes to toxin buildup and inflammation.

But if you are getting plenty of fiber, it binds to the bile in the intestine and, along with its toxins, removes it from the body when you go to the bathroom.

Low Fiber Increases Oxidation

Without healthy bile, the body must resort to another method to break down fats. As a last resort, the process of oxidation kicks in, setting the stage for oxidative damage that hurts your bones.

Fiber Rejuvenates Bones By Promoting Liver Health

In addition to its detoxification role, a healthy liver is necessary for the proper synthesis of bone-building Vitamin D. In fact, your liver affects every body system, from your endocrine to your immune system.

A healthy liver is absolutely crucial for true rejuvenation of your bones. In addition, the other detoxification organs – your kidneys – are equally vital.

Your Kidneys Are Indispensable For Bone Health

Besides removing toxins, your kidneys also play a central role in balancing the body’s pH – the crux of the Osteoporosis Reversal Program. As part of this key process, your kidneys secrete bicarbonate, a buffering substance that neutralizes the acid in the bloodstream.

So a diet high in acidic toxins will seriously overwork (and possibly damage) your kidneys.

Alkalizing, fiber-rich foods like the ones in the recipes below promote an alkaline environment in the body, and help improve both kidney and liver function. They are also full of bone-building Foundation Supplements.

Two Scrumptious Soups That Cleanse Your Liver And Alkalize Your Body

These soups are perfect for a cold winter day. But of course, they are excellent bone-builders any time!

Please use organic ingredients whenever possible. Pesticide and herbicide residue adds to the body’s toxic load.

The two soup recipes would be good to print if they were on one page each. I could take a picture and then print it. There is too much other info that I would not want to waste ink to print, especially when I am born on earth day…!

  5. Joyce

Can lime juice be substituted for lemon juice for the same alkalizing effect? It seems I do better with lime than lemon. I have the ingredients and plan to try the soups. Do you eat them hot or at room temp.? Can you cream them in a food processor instead of a blender? I do fine with garlic not with that amount of onion. Will I still get benefit from the soups? I see the veg. broth I bought has some onion. Is lime juice and cold pressed virgin olive oil a alkalizing dressing on the salad you recommended? Thanks for all.

  6. Cheryl

Hi Vivian – I make lots of soups and appreciate all your recipes. Could you please comment about bone broth? I know that beef is acidifying, but I’ve read (don’t remember where) that bone broth is good for our bones. Your thoughts? Thank you.

    • Betty

I enjoy your emails and would like to be able to read your replies to peoples questions.

  7. Christine

Can I use beef or chicken broth (organic and from an Amish farm) instead of vegetable broth? Thanks!
    Christine

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

      Hi Christine,
Beef and chicken broth are acidifying, which would make these soups pH-balanced rather than alkalizing. 🙂

  8. bea mowry

hi vivian ts this soup just for cleanses or can you eat it all the time and also the osteo cleanse seven bone health acceleetor is that just for cleanse thank you bea

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

There is no reason you can’t eat these soups whenever you like, Bea!

  9. Beverly

My gallbladder was removed because it was non working. If there is no gallbladder, I assume there is no bile being made or used in my body. How does my body digest fiber and how do I keep my liver healthy? Thank you for the recipes….

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

That is an excellent question, Beverly! Your liver is still your major detoxification organ, and can absolutely benefit from cleansing foods. As far as having your gallbladder removed, your liver produces the bile, which is normally stored in the gallbladder and released as needed. Without the gallbladder, your liver still produces bile; it simply releases a less concentrated form of it into the small intestine.

    • L,D.

Hello All, I am missing gallbladder too and could use an answer as well.. Thanks

  13. Carol

The soups sound wonderful and I can’t wait to try them. I’m currently dealing with a lingering bronchial cough and wonder if this could be caused by my body trying to rid itself from a buildup of toxins. Since being on the SOS program, in many ways I feel stronger and have much relief from many stomach issues that I had experienced for years.

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

I hope you enjoy the soups, Carol, and I am glad to hear that being on the Program has provided so many health benefits for you! I hope your cough clears up very soon.
