An 800 pound gorilla recommends investments; talking babies discuss online stock trading; a gecko works for a car insurance company; a duck wants you to buy disability coverage… What will they think of next?
How about a “retired” flying nun, Sally Field, touting the benefits of Boniva (ibandronate), the first once-a-month bisphosphonate? Take a look at one of the ads for Boniva below:
Partial Transcript
“I always thought that calcium, vitamin D, and exercise would be enough to keep my bones healthy. Boniva works with your body to help stop and reverse bone loss… I was able to stop and reverse my bone loss, and studies show that after one year on Boniva, nine out of 10 women did too. I’ve got this one body and this one life, so I wanted to stop my bone loss. Ask your doctor if Boniva is right for you.”
So I decided to create my own ad for Boniva… but with a big twist
You see, my Boniva ad actually tells the truth. So now, without further ado, here is my new and accurate Boniva advertisement starring Sally Field:
Sally Field is sitting on her patio couch wearing white jogging pants and a blue t-shirt, her legs curled up on the seat. On top of a small coffee table in front of her, there is a thick and dried-up tree branch and a thin twig. As Enya’s inspiring “Only If” plays softly in the background, she says:
“I always thought that osteoporosis was a disease, and when I was diagnosed with it, my doctor told me that ONLY once-a-month Boniva could reverse my bone loss. At first I believed my doctor, but soon after – fortunately before filling my prescription – I discovered that he was wrong. I read on the internet that osteoporosis is not a disease and that there is a natural and drug-free way to reverse it. I was surprised to learn that Boniva can actually do more harm than good…”
Now there is silence, except for the music crescendo, as Enya sings “If you really want to, you can hear me say; only if you want to will you find a way.” Sally sits up straight and crosses her legs. The music volume is lowered and Sally goes on:
“Taking Boniva makes your bones more prone to fracture, and here’s why this happens. Exactly like its main competitors, Fosamax, Actonel, and Reclast, Boniva works against natural bone metabolism.
You see, Boniva binds to the bone matrix and stops normal bone resorption by inhibiting bone cells known as osteoclasts. Bone resorption is a necessary process to have strong and healthy bones because osteoclasts remove old bone to make space for new healthy, and more resilient bone tissue to be deposited in its place.
As a result of taking Boniva, new bone formation is greatly depressed, and your bones become old and dried-up with long-term accumulation.”
Sally picks up the thick branch and holds it in front of her with outstretched arms
“If you really want to you can seize the day”, Enya sings… Sally smiles and cracks the branch in half and holds the broken pieces in her hands:
“Take a look at this old and dried-up branch and notice how easily I split it in half. That’s exactly what happens to your bones: because Boniva stops your bones from renewing themselves naturally, they look thicker but become brittle.
This detrimental process takes a couple of years, and that’s why scientific studies showing density improvement when taking Boniva focus mainly on short-term results. Even though bone volume does not increase, bone is more densely packed and looks denser. But this stops after a while.
Like you, I want to reverse osteoporosis, but I don’t want to get fooled by a synthetic drug that offers short-sighted help. And what’s more, unlike my doctor, I believe that bone quality is more important than quantity. After all, my goal is to prevent fractures…”
Sally places the broken branch on the table and takes the thin twig in her hands. She tries to crack it, but it is flexible and instead of breaking, it gracefully bends. She continues:
“Now watch how this thinner but young and healthy twig resists breakage. Of course, you want your bones to be like it. So next time your doctor recommends Boniva, feel free to ignore him like I did, and opt for a natural and drug-free way to strengthen your bones.”
The music stops.
Sally gets up and walks away
The screen becomes black and a large Poison warning sign appears with a disclosure that reads:
“Even though this drug has been approved by the appropriate government agency to treat, cure, and prevent osteoporosis, you are basically on your own. Neither the agency nor healthcare practitioners, the latter with very few exceptions, care if you will suffer side effects when taking Boniva. After all, it’s a numbers game.
Moreover, the agencies involved can ignore new research showing detrimental effects of this drug, and even if those are confirmed, may simply issue a warning. Also, you must remember that the makers of Boniva have a lot more money than you, by the billions, and can therefore successfully fight any lawsuit by hiring the best lawyers.”
This remains visible on the screen while a woman’s voice is heard saying:
“If you are looking for a short-term osteoporosis ‘quick-fix’ and still want to take a chance with Boniva, please note that you are risking the following side effects, many of which may be irreversible: nausea, abdominal pain, flatulence, diarrhea, severe constipation, inflammation and ulceration of the esophagus, chest pain, heartburn, difficulty swallowing, skin rash, eye problems including vision loss and blurred vision, generalized pain of the muscles, joints, and/or bones, decreased mobility of joints, blood clotting disorders, anemia, dental problems, numbness, tight muscles in the face, seizures, irritability and unusual thoughts and behaviors, altered taste, atrial fibrillation, jaw pain, osteonecrosis of the jaw.
Additionally, as is the case with all bisphosphonate drugs, Boniva interferes with Coenzyme Q10 (ubiquinone) production, an essential antioxidant that performs many important functions in the body. To find out more about how Boniva can ruin your life, please call the toll-free information line at 1-800-4NO-LIES.”
The screen fades to black.
Now that would be truthful advertising. As always, let me know what you think by leaving a comment below.

Vivian, again thank you for updating us about the salvation of our bones. I never noticed the warning information about Boniva on the commercial. Since learning about ‘save our bones’ I’ve been working at just that by working at eating the right foods as much as possible — alkaline and not acidic foods. I’m sending your e-mail to my friends. Thank you
I was taking Foxamax which was recommended by my Doctor. I took it for a few years but even though I really had no side effects from it, I stopped taking it after I read all the information concerning it.
Thank you for that run-through of an ad we see all the time on TV. I was almost tempted to think about Boniva, but this shows my instincts were accurate and I will go with that. However, I would like to know what does actually work. I do see that it won’t be like hard bone and as the bending twig proves, that is about the best I can get.
I had an aunt who was on some new bone replacement that was about $600 per, I think it was a shot but it has been a few years. Her bones were so brittle that if she bent the wrong way a rib bone would break. She did try this one out but a bone began to grow outward on her tail bone. Can you imagine. We are truly guinea pigs.
Just thought you would be interested in this little bit of information. My mother, who takes Fosomax, said she was watching cable t.v. a few days ago and the doctor for that station was talking about a woman who was on Fosomax and her bone literally split down the middle. He recommended that anyone taking any medication for bones to stop immediately as these are the results of it. The meds have been out long enough that women are seeing long term side effects for themselves. My mother has since stopped her Fosomax and I think after this information becomes more documented on t.v. other women will be stopping also. Yeah!! Thank you Vivian for your diligence on this subject. I am ever so grateful!!
Since all of these osteoporosis drugs work the same way and literally advertise doing the same thing – this is the first one telling of possible blood clot problems with Boniva. Why can’t I find this side effect along with information on all the other drugs? ie, Fosamax,Actenol, reclast, etc. Can you send me info on blood clot side effects on the other drugs also to my email? Thank you, would really appreciate it.
Hi Mary
Most Big Pharma Drugs have side effects! Alot of the Toxic Drugs do come from Herbal Plants, however when they cock it up in their Labs, and put in other
Toxicities to regulate it, then it becomes not a pure product from Mother Nature, and doesn’t even work as well as the Pure Herbal, besides the Horrendous side effects. There are many options to this!

Have you written to Sally Field and/or the makers of Boniva and the other drug companies? Why isn’t your knowledge mainstream? It’s very troublesome.
In light of the recent disclosure on long bone (thigh bone) fractures, I will not be taking Fosamax again (after a 2 year hiatus) I ‘ve already had some optic nerve damage from another medication. Keep moving and eat healthy instead!
I hope info on these meds is included in ongoing education sessions for doctors!
The information is widely know in alternative medicine but allopathic (western) doctors are trained to give drugs and/or operate. I think it’s almost worse than a love of money; it’s arrogantly irresponsible and ignorant. A drug rep visits, gives the doctors samples and tells them about the studies done on the drug. In actuality, the studies are done by the pharmaceutical company who is only looking for a certain outcome. The side effects are in the small print of the very thin paper that comes folded up twenty times and packaged with the medicine that no one reads. If you must go to an MD be sure that he or she practices holistic medicine and is trained in nutrition.
Vivian, THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
I appreciate the information you provide to us. After taking anti-convulsants my entire life; I was diagnosed with osteopenia at the age of 45. My T score was -1.8, and my Z score was -2.0. I took Fosomax for three months, and the heartburn was so severe that NOTHING worked – and the heartburn stayed with me for 4 days straight! Also the overactive bladder and for the first time I was beginning to get UTIs. I was then given Actonel – another nightmare! When I was taken off of the Actonel nearly 3 years ago, the UTIs stopped, the middle-of-the-night trips to the bathroom stopped, and so did the overactive bladder effects. I am still living with non-stop abdominal pain/GI issues; neither of which occurred until after I started taking bone supplements. I wish our doctors would be more upfront with us patients when it comes to the severity of side effects that coincide with the medication(s) prescribed. I cringe everytime the Boniva commercial featuring Sally Field airs. Again – Thank you for the information you provide to us!!
A hair client of mine went on Boniva for a month and said all her bones hurt shortly after and could not wait for the month to be over. She did not take another pill.
Dear Vivian,
I become enraged every time I see Sally Field spout her lies concerning Boniva.I have had enough of Drs badgering their patients to take poison, drug companies putting their lust for money ahead of peoples health, even hollywood celebrities (making tons of money)reading their script of lies to get you to buy something that is going to change your life with pain and ill health. I have been affected by this medication and I am speaking from experience. I will never take any drug that I have not researched myself. I only wish that your ad Vivian could be aired. We must tell whoever will listen the truth about these poisons. Thanking you again for educating us and getting us back on the road to recovery.
I took fosamax or 2 years. I had osteopenia in my hips before I started taking the drug. I exercised, ate a high fiber, low fat, low sugar and low sodium diet. Took calcium, vitamin d, etc.
The result after 2 years was that my bone density in my hip went down. That is right, down. I stopped immediately. I stayed on the regiment that I was on for the past 2 years with out the drug and guess what – I was able to build enough bone density to take me off the list of having osteopenia. I have a thyroid condition which is exacerbating my situation. But I am diligent, have started the alkalizing diet (which I beleve my diet was pretty close any way).
Thanks for providing us with such dilient uptodate information. Please save your bones and go off any of these drugs now. Change your diet, exercise and take your vitamins.
That was fantastic. It has always bothered me to see Sally Field in that commercial. For a second I would second guess myself.
Thank you, Vivian, for getting a conversation going on the osteoporosis problem. I am taking a product called Ultimate Bone Support designed by Dr. Robert Jay Rowen and produced by Advanced Bionutritionals. I was alerted to the product through my subscription to Dr. Rowen’s SECOND OPINION newsletter. This product contains an element called strontium which, according to research, is preferable to calcium but also far superior to the currently recommended products such as fosomax or Boniva that, reportedly, can deteriorate the jaw and damage bones. I have a friend whose dentist was flabberghasted to find her jaw severely “eaten-away” from fosomax or its equivalent. One more hint: don’t take calcium within four hours of strontium because they cancel each other. I must, also, note that the element strontium is NOT the synthetically produced product that was named strontium and used as some sort of explosive (I think). I am always amazed at the opposition that charges in to attempt to nullify the true value of natural healing.
As always, simply brilliant, Vivian.
Anne.
We definitely have an uphill battle especially if people like John McCain get a bill through the U.S. Senate that would increase the FDA’s regulatory control over the supplement industry. Apparently, this legislation would give the FDA the power to arbitrarily ban supplements. I beg everyone to contract their local Senators or whoever can help. Although I am Canadian, our government will jump on the band wagon – yes our health system is also tied to Big Pharma and our doctors are also handing out these wonderful drugs like they were candy.
Even if Sally Field didn’t originally know of the dangers of this drug, she must know by now as there has been so much publicity.
She should discontinue this advertisement or is she making too much money to do so?
Very interesting. I would like to see you interview her on TV telling it how it really is.
She doesn’t need the money and would be doing her country a favor.
GO VIVIAN!!! I purchased your book, read everything you send me, did some research on my own – still put up with the gastric distress caused
by Actonel – and I’ve proven that it’s possible to have strong bones without all those awful preparations EVER AGAIN.
Thank you and keep up the fine work you do in helping women.
I was on evista for about 9 years for bone health. I am 58 ,was 57 at the time of 2 strokes in a 6 month period. Do you think this drug could have caused my strokes ?
One of Evistas’ side effects is that it can cause blood cloths. That is the reason among others that I have refused to take the drug.
Only a few months after being on the Save Our Bones diet my Vit 4 blood work showed improvement.
My next bone density if in Sept so I shall see if my hard work has paid off.
I believe all you wrote. I was on Reclast for two years, and have suffered horrible side effects. I opted this year to NOT take it. Nor do I take any of the drugs for bone “health?”. I still have some of the side effects. Thanks for a good piece. I plan on passing this on to my friends.
IS SALLY ACTUALLY SAYING BONIVA IS NOT ANY GOOD? OR IS THIS A MADE-UP STORY? I HAVE G
It’s a made up story by Vivian. It is telling you how the story would play out if Sally Field was telling the truth.
Hi Vivian,
Last year, I ordered the book Save our Bones, payment of which went through my visa card. However, up until now, I still haven’t received the book I ordered. Could you please look into this and advise me the status of my order. It’s been many months ago.
Thank you.
Cecilia Reyes
Love the rebuttal ad. Have been irritated by the Sally Field ad for way too long. Thanks for continuing to speak out.
Janet
I get really agitated every time I hear Sally spout off with the lies about Boniva. It’s about time she stopped lying to us and get educated. I even went so far as to try and get an email address or phone # to set her straight, but to no avail. Perhaps someone in her business will tell her the truth.
Thanks Vivian. I have stopped taking Evista and am ready to bear the wrath of my GYN at my upcoming appt. What I find amazing is that they come up with dual reasons for taking a drug. In the case of Evista, it now prevents breast cancer, or heart disease or something. Another reason to promote a drug.
From a bone scan test my bone doctor said I had
osteopenia and gave ma a sample pill of boniva.
Iwas also taking vytorin. The combination of the 2 pills just about killed me or I thought so.
The pain was severe for about 3 days, in my rib cage. When i called the doctor about the pain, no help there and told me to go to the emergency room. I called my daughter who is a
microbiologist and she told me the problem, that my liver couldn’t metalize the combination of the 2 drugs and tylenol oonly made it worse. She said any doctor worth his salt should have known better of the two drugs would cause this reaction. Therfore I quit taking vytorin and threw away the sample pills of boniva and decided there must be a better way
and discovered your Save our bones programs.
Thank you and for all the other information
that you send me. Josephine H Soden
I am currently 70 years old and took Foxamax for 11 years. After not improving for several years, my doctor wanted to put me on Foreto. Not wanting to take a daily shot, I began my research and discovered Vivian’s website, Save Our Bones, and purchased her book. I took her advice and went off of Foxamax, began a weight-bearing exercise program 3 days a week, and modified my diet slightly. After one year, I had my annual bone density test, which showed that I had slightly improved and reversed the downward trend. I’m sticking with this plan, and hope to improve even more this year. Thank you, Vivian, for all your research and for taking a stand!
I like Sally and hope all goes well for her. I still feel I made the right decision not taking it and more so after getting your material. I do take a vit with calcium and D and the q10 and they seem to agree w/me. Caltrate w/bone density did not because it caused cramps. A friend is taking Caltrate now and is having the cramps but she continues. Her choice. Sally may or may not be taking it and it may just be a job. I believed a lot of stuff when I was young but now i check it out first. I never have had to take any kind of drugs and hope to keep it that way. I like your information and wonder about a lot of things. I go back for check up this year and we will see how he acts when i say i did not start it. I turned my angle just today because of shoes i had own and carring a box way to heavy. It hurt for a few rub it changed shoes and all is good. I am very thankful the Lord gave me the mind to think things thu not just jump when star or someone says this if for you. We are all different and so far I believe i have made good choice and your information make me look at things i put into my body more then i use too. At age 67 this year i am very pleased with my health but anything can go wronG. I keep trying and I thank you for the information and it is overwhelming at time but very interesting. ty, Elaine
I sure do agrre with you, Vivian. I was told by my doctor to take boniva-but ,had my doubts and enter you . I choose to do things naturaly. Thank you, janet
I agree 100%. A friend of mine just turned 50. She workes out at the gym 5 days a week and watches what she eats. She took Boniva for a year. In that time her joints started hurting and she just did not feel well. I showed her your webb site and she went armed with info to h er doctor and asked for another bone density test. No CHANGE after a year. She told her doctor that she was not taking Boniva anymore. She now tells me how much better she feels and her joints no longer hurt her. She has a cleaning service so she is always bending and using her hands and her back cleaning houses . She tells me how much she appreciates my telling her about you and your studies. She says I saved her life but the real hero here is YOU. Thank you and keep sending those research against these so called “helpful” drugs.
Can you tell me about Didrocal, I am taking it, should I continue taking that medication. Please, please tell me. Thank you for all the good information.
Why don’t you do your own research?
This is a good place to start.

Check out the side effects.
Believe it or not – fracture may be one of the side effects. So we are warned.
Vivian,Thankyou for the research and knowledge you share. I will never consume such caustic drugs. As a matter of fact,I refused my Dr’s request of filling the prescription. I agree with you and will be a preponent of your version of “BONIVA” for stronger bones. Good job VIVIAN! I am telling my friends and family about your program. I once was diagnosed with “OSTEOPOROSIS” three yr’s ago, now it has increased and they have lableled me as having “OSTEOPENIA. I take “Bone-up by Jarrow and will be following your program soon. As soon as I receive it in the mail. The book is used and I hope to receive it today or tomorrow in the mail. I am a health care professional by profession, but you are a Godsend. Thankyou for being you!

and YOU should be ashamed for firing off a reply without knowing the full facts! Vitamin D only plays a part in getting the calcium from your digestive system to your blood – not to your bones !!! Boron and magnesium are two of the minerals that are needed to move the calcium to your bones. this is NOT something i learned from my medical doctor, that’s for sure! I have HIGH calcium levels in my blood yet still have osteoporosis! So, doc says take more calcium !!! Right – that’s gonna help a lot. Proper nutrition will help – not drugs!
Dear Vivian,
My doctor perscribed fosomax at the same time he perscribed arimidex for my breast cancer, I filled the perscription but never took any. I found your web site, ordered your book, and upped my calcium, vitamin D and K. I go for a bone scan in May. After following the guidlines in your book I’m anxious to see the results. No matter I will never take any bio-phospates. I’ll let you know what I learn.
Right on Vivian. Now if only prominent figures like Sally Fields could resist the financial temptation and tell these companies right out “I won’t do false advertising for you.”. And wouldn’t it be great if someone could finance TV adds that spoke tghe truth, wouldn’t that be great?
Hurray for youVivian!!!!
I’m so glad to see another professional speaking up about the Sally Field’s Boniva commercial. I’ve been sharing with my clients how bogus this TV ad is and the truth behind the ad. I enjoy your insight very much. Keep up the great work.
Vivian, YOUR ad is FABULOUS! Thank you so much for writing it! I will forward it along.
I am one of the people who took Actonel for 18 months (once a week), 2004-2006. Now, I’m having trouble finding a Blue Cross PPO maxillofacial surgeon who can advance my lower jaw forward, which I happen to medically need (has to do with the cause of my obstructive sleep apnea).
No one will take me on, because of a small risk of mandibular osteonecrosis, because I took the Actonel 18 months.
Now, I take Ostivone (a bioflavinoid), K2 (Menatetrenone), Calcium, Magnesium, Manganese, and Boron, and exercise. I have shifted my diet toward more alkalining, and follow food combining.
My bones feel better.
-Vicki
Recently, I heard on T.V. that some women that have been on these biophosphates have had unexplained broken femurs. this interested me, as I have been on all of these drugs for years and I continue to have fractures in my bones, including the femur. I asked my doctor and he had no information for me, referred me to my endocronologist (the one who has prescribed these drugs) They have been insistant that I take these drugs saying I would be worse off without them. It is frightening to go against your doctors…….after all they are the educated ones. Personally, I feel my case proves the drugs were of no assistance and if not in fact harmful.
This is in reply about femor fractures. I took Fosamax for 12 years, under a physicians approval, and suffered a low energy (while standing ), spontaneous , sub-trochanter femor fracture. It has not totally united after 9 months, probably due to the bisphosphonate that remains in my bone. I googled “Fosamax and Femur Fractures”, found a support group and have received alot of education after the fact. I do use Forteo, not happy about it, but I need to take the risk and grow some bone. It may work, again it may not, but its my risk.I know the black-box warning, I made the choice. I will never put my trust in physicians again, and Merck , and the FDA, shame on them! The latest New England J of M study was disgusting, funny, Merck was a supporter of the study. Amazing how that works!
I am 57 and have a bone density reading of -2.7. The specialist told me that if I had a hard fall I would break my back. I am scared but refused to take Fosamax again as I had for only a few months 5 years ago. At my refusal the Dr said ” well, in a few years I cant tell you that they might be telling us to pull that off the market anyway. ” That made me think that they know a lot more than they are telling us…which other than the obvious is that they dont know how to stop it !
LOVED THE BONIVA AD REMAKE ! Had thought of that myself.
I would never take any of those drugs. My doctor gave me a Rx for Actonel, but I never filled it. I have been on the save our bones program for only 6 months and I had a bone scan last week. Both hips have improved (still osteopenic) and the spine is normal. What a blessing! As an added bonus I have been losing weight.
It’s not by chance that Sally Fields was chosen to market Boniva. She is a VERY believable spokesperson. I can’t help but wonder if she actually takes it or just says she does — afterall good actors are trained to be very convincing! It would be wonderful if she could be educated properly on this subject. If she’s a stand-up person, maybe she would then refuse to do the ads.
I love your alternative ad and wish that could be blasted over the air instead. We’ll have to be satisfied with spreading the word ourselves, one person at a time, which can be very effective over time. The day is coming when the truth will be known I believe and the sooner the better!
Just so you know, Sally Field does take Boniva and only accepted the campaign once a rheumatologist in the area started her on Boniva. She is quite educated on the DISEASE. Don’t be duped by Vivian. She has her own agenda!
It’s not a disease, it’s a condition.
I reversed the condition just by following Vivian’s recommendations.
BigPharma is the one with the agenda.
Seems that the “retired” flying nun is still on someone’s payroll. Must be a very profitable “retirement”.
I never let celebrities, especially actors, sway me to their way of thinking. They’re not experts, and I will go to more reliable sources when it comes to my health. I always end up talking to the TV when the Boniva commercial comes on. I tell Sally to come back in a few years to let me know how her health and bones are doing after using this drug for a while.
Bravo!!! I had indeed tried Boniva for 3 months and had AWFUL bone-muscle pain–I then researched the info -and YES–this drug is VERY DANGEROUS to your entire system….
I, too, stopped taking Boniva after 2 months. The pain in my muscles and joints was terrible. I do think that after 6 months I still have some residual effects.
What do you think about the resent report that Fosmax etc has no adverse side affects and is safe to take?
Have you sent this information to Sally Field? Do you suppose she’s in it just for the money she get from Boniva?
I would like to know if Didronel has the same bad effects as Bonviva.
Have you ever tried to contact Sally Field directly with the knowledge you have obtained over the years? So much of the time people people are mislead because they haven’t even been exposed to the truth to make an honest assessment. Sad thing is, even when some people are presented with the facts, they refuse to consider them.
I am taking Didronel. Would that have the same bad effect as Bonviva?
I am taking Didronel. Would that have the same bad effect as Bonviva or Fosamax etc?
my neighbor did use forteo for two years and she said she did not have any side effects and her dexa scan did improve greatly. I don’t like the fact that their is this battle going one between drugs and nutrition. That is not helping the already confused patient. Money is always at the bottom of it. I chose to go with the vitamins and I hope to god I am not being duped by either.
Thank you for a great article. I can also relate to what others are saying here. I, too, was dx w/osteoporosis but did my research (which is how I found Vivian’s site) and said no to Fosamax. I am angry that “movie stars” are allowed to advertise any kind of pharmaceutical but more upset at Sally Field since she has always been such an activist.
It’s either or money or ignorance that guides her.
Speaking of money, Vivian’s article tells me that we all should take note of any pharmaceutical that our doctors prescribe; we should also learn about our own health and be the captain in charge. We cannot rely on the gov. such as the FDA to tell us what is good or not good for us. We are a corporate run society and medicine and pharmaceuticals don’t take a back seat there either!
Very interesting. I stopped taking Fosomax on April 1, 2009, after more than 10 years. I have been taking Ostera by Metagenics since then. I had a bone density test in Dec. ’09. Also, I have finally added weights 3x a week to my exercise program. For the first time ever I showed a slight improvement.
Also, the ANA blood test with the autoimmune marker improved tremendously. Hmmmm. No, so far no signs of lupus, ms or fibromyalgia; just still have inflamed joints/pressure points but only hurt when touched.
Thanks for a great article. I love Sally in “Brothers & Sisters” but I do wonder if her condition is improving.
I stopped taking Fosamax over a year ago after being on it for 8 years or so, and against the advice of my doctor. I feel good about the decision but have recently read about recent studies indicating that Fosamax and other drugs like it do not have negative effects. I would like to know if these new studies contain new information or if they are a rehash of the old information.
I’m so glad I took only one pill two years ago. I’m a firm believer in your warnings.
