I have only one question regarding distilled water : are you sure that the acidic effects of this kind of filtration does not affect the PH balance in the consumer’s body ?

Looks great. Sure will save on trips to store to carry home gallon containers. I started the alkaline diet in March. I have lost 15 lbs. My nails are stronger, hopefully my bones are also. Thanks for all the help.
Intriguing! After some years of using a jug with a carbonfilter, I have recently obtained a “Water Enhancer” from World Development Systems (WDS) which purports to clear emotional memories in others from the water I drink. It definitely improves the taste…………..

I was glad that you also support the distillation concept. I do this also at home and did a lot of water-research, like the new science of water. The way we finally treat our watersupply nowadays is not enough. We humans are made to drink pure, safe and fresh water and not pipe-water.
I kept the Part I and II of the water week in a special map on my PC!

Just to add ann extra bit.
The sun is rare here but I get every bit I can and do not wear sunglasses. My normal glasses are clear but block out 100% of rays and keep them off as much as I can as I am sure your eyes are the best place to get vit D etc from the sun. I no longer use sun block as that stops the rays as well.
By the way I have had basal cells but who cares at 72years old.

Where I lived temporarily overseas I collected rain water for drinking, cooking and shower. I have heard that rainwater is the next best thing to distilled water. It was great tasting, rather sweet compared to tap water.

Thank you Vivian and also all the community for giving me so much advice over the past few years.
I live in the UK and like you all find the doctors not very encouraging.
I had a bone scan 3 years ago and was diagnosed with Osteporosis and thought I was working hard following Vivian’s plan but was disappointed to find that the T score was still reducing but at a slower rate.
I am now determined to do more to improve the bone density. I am very fit and do yoga and work in the gym every evening. I did try using a rebounder which I am sure would help but it is no good for me as I have damaged nerves in my neck and the impact is not good.
A rebounder could help you all as just 5 minutes was amazing.
I have had a good alkaline diet but obviously not good enough so I am about to buy a juicer and juice lots of greens. I am also just eating fruit until lunchtime. I take the right suplements but I am now beginning to think I need more calcium from natural foods and then work on the extras . For eg I have just bought a magnesium oil spray and am looking into liguid minerals.
The only bone scan I can get here is one run by the pharm companies so I just take advantage and but up with the fear tactics.
I would be interested in anyone in the UK who is like me trying to avoid drugs. my email is ma**************@***co.net.

PS I have noticed a lot of the ladies who were at the bone scan place were very slim and people I know who have it are also slim and small boned. I myself am tall slim and small boned. Also most people I know have not even had a scan I do not think!

Thank you the opportunity to enter the drawing for a Waterwise 880 Distiller. Your articles have made me aware that double filtering tap water is not enough to produce pure water. This is of great concern to me because I live 1/2 of each year in Jerusalem where the water is very hard. Distilling our water at home in Boston as well as in Jerusalem may help to compensate for the cumulative effects of the hard water.
These 3-part Water Week articles have inspired me to look for a countertop distiller. I had no idea they existed. Vivian talks a lot about drinking distilled water but never knew such a compact distiller was sold so readily. I was curious which distiller Vivian uses and wasn’t surprised when I saw it costs $400. I’m hoping a cheaper model will suffice. Don’t think I want to spend that much. Thanks Vivian for sharing your wealth of knowledge on bone health. I have learned so much from you.

I would like to win the water distiller for my 24 year old daughter who has Bipolar Disorder – all of the nutritional guidelines are not only relevant to me (I have osteoporosis) but we believe they help to stabilize her as well.

When Katrina hit the coast I made a trip to my sister in law with food and necessary items.. one of them was a water distiller similar to the 8800 model shown. The first batch of water we ran thru it was crystal clear but the bottom of the distiller was full of black sludge. It was disgusting. Since they live right on the bayou their house was majorly damaged from the tidal surge, so this was a godsend for them. I’ve used one for years, mine is on its last legs. I’ve bought these for Christmas presents because I believe they are the best gift we can give. A long time ago my grandson named it the “Germ Cooker” and thats what it is to this day. Couldn’t live without it!
