I'm thrilled to announce that the ‘Win a Free Distiller Sweepstakes' starts today. In Part 1 and Part 2 of Water Week I've explained why drinking distilled water is the best choice both for your bones and for your overall health.
What I didn't tell you, is that at home, all the water I drink and cook with comes from my Waterwise 8800 Countertop Distiller. I've done the research, and it's by far the best distiller on the market.
I only have to fill the stainless steel boiler with tap water, press the start button, and a few hours later, I have one gallon of the best tasting, purest, and fluoride-free water.
And today you have an opportunity to win the Waterwise 8800 Countertop Distiller, plus more great prizes… all valued at $510!
Here's How It Works
To enter, simply leave a comment below, along with your name and email. Feel free to write anything your heart desires :). Please leave your comment before Wednesday, September 12th, at 10:00pm ET.
My team and I will then randomly select one grand prize winner, and five runners-up. Stay tuned, because I will announce the winners on Thursday, September 13th. Best of luck!

Here's What You Can Win: The ‘Save Our Bones Exclusive Waterwise Package'
Waterwise® 8800 Countertop Distiller
You’ll love using the 8800. All you do is fill the stainless steel boiler with tap water, press the start button, and soon you’ll be enjoying the purest water possible. With the easy-to-use electronic monitor, you can program it before bed for that first cup of coffee or tea in the morning. After running a one-gallon cycle, keep the BPA-free carafe in the refrigerator for a chilled glass of pure refreshment—whenever you want. Fill trays for perfectly clear and pure icecubes. Even take the 8800 along on your next trip. The portable, programmable 8800 is ready when you are!
The Waterwise 8800 combines steam distillation with carbon post-filtration, resulting in optimum water purity. The electronic monitor with its multifunction LCD readout even alerts you when it’s time to change the filter!
Sells for: $399
Deluxe Showerwise® Shower Filtration System
You’ll enjoy softer skin, healthier scalp and shinier hair after a Showerwise shower. Why? Because chlorine, commonly used to disinfect tap water, can make your skin dry, sensitive, flaky and itchy. It irritates your eyes and makes your hair dry and unmanageable. Worse yet, chlorine and chlorine by-products aggravate symptoms for many asthma, allergy, sinus and emphysema sufferers.
You may be shocked to know that your body can absorb more chlorine in a 1-minute shower than from drinking 8 glasses of the same water. But you can relax… chlorine is reduced by 95% with Showerwise. Also reduced is iron, lead, mercury and hydrogen sulfide. Bacterial, fungal and mildew growth are effectively inhibited.
Showerwise’s patented KDF-55 and Chlorgon filter material performs best in warm or hot water, unlike ordinary carbon filters that are effective in cold only. And Showerwise contains 50% more material for a longer, more effective lifetime than most filters, typically lasting 12-18 months!
Sells for: $69
6-Pack Carbon Filter Bags – 1 Year Supply
Carbon filtration enhances taste and purity by adsorption, aeration and degasification. Replace every 2-months or after 60-80 gallons distilled, whichever comes first. One bag drops into the filter compartment of the carafe lid.
Sells for: $36
Waterwise® BPA-Free Sports Bottle
Waterwise BPA-Free bottles are lightweight, reuseable and ensure that every drop of distilled water stays pure. They’re extremely durable and simple to clean (just use peroxide and water or baking soda and water, then rinse).
Sells for: $6

Thank you for your very interesting articles you provide.
My knowledge is increasing on a regular basis.

Water, water everyware. But not all water is what it appears. I have a 300 foot deep well and the water looks excellent but for our coffee maker and drinking water we buy bottled water. Why you ask, well our water has ruined coffee pots, fish tak filters & hoods and plastic ware.
I do make ice tea with our water but I wonder what all these minerals do to us and our bodies. Can’t afford a distiller but hope I’m in the running and so do my 3 remaing German Shepherds. Thanks, Ron.
I leave in Cyprus so i am not sure if i can be included in your lucky customers. I would love to win a waterdistiller. Thanks for all your valuable information.
The Waterwise® 8800 Countertop Distiller would be a wonderful addition to the Save Our Bones program. Thank you for yet another way to strengthen our bones and improve our health.
A distiller is the only thing missing from my alkaline diet. Would love one!
Its lovely to read such logical and beneficial info. Water I have got used to drinking for the last 6yrs or so through learning and knowing more, thats the point to learning, the fact of knowing more moves you on and it feels good for yourself, anyway thank you so very much and I look forward to my distilled water container (humour = the best tranquelizer)
Maria x.
Thank you for this opportunity. You have given me the courage to say no to the drugs.
Hi Vivian, I look forward each time you write for new information to give me the opportunity to take the best care i can of my body. I do your exercise program and am so grateful for your research. Having a distiller would round out the care and extra bonus would be a great cup of tea. Thank you so much for your research, I know you are
blessed a thousandfold hearing the testimonies.
GREAT!!! I am conflicted about how we can get “better than tap” water but use so many plastic bottles. I have been carrying my water filter pitcher and bottles even on vacation. This countertop distiller would be a great aid and a way to avoid the use of the plastic bottles.
I grew up drinking distilled water because our well water was undrinkable
without it. I have missed it ever since I left home. I ice cubes were so
crystal clear.
Without water we are nothing. Important commodity that we need to include in our life to help our bodies function correctly.
Having been diagnosed with osteopenia, I am looking for ways to preserve and/or restore my bone health without drugs.
I would love to win this machine. I have osteopenia and i love to drink water. It would be great to do something extra for my bones. The machine would look great on my counter top and it sounds easy to use. Thankyou for introducing this machine to me.
There seems to be a great deal of controversy on the subject of water. While I agree with you that many of the things in our water make it really impure and it is difficult to get water the way nature intended, I have to question long-term use of distilled water only. Based upon things I have read, just about anything in excess can be bad. Here is something recently I read from a source I trust: https://www.mercola.com/article/water/distilled_water_2.htm
In a nutshell he says this can be good “short term” to heal but not long-term. To your good health
I would love to win the distiller! I have an ongoing back problem and have to lug 8 – 10 gallons of distilled water home each week. Would be a great thing to have. I practice many of Vivian’s tips but drinking the distilled water with lemon is the easiest thing to do for my bone health!
Thank you
Deb
My old distiller finally died and not worth fixing… picked up at a yard sale for $25 in 1996. I have been buying distilled water to drink since then especially for teas. The less things in water the more of the herbal teas benefical molicules can be carried by the water, also detoxes the body. a win win.
Thank you Vivian for your ‘Save Our Bones’ site with continuing information & tips for better bone health. Thank you also for all the free stuff which you offer from time to time…like this!
Sounds like a great filtration system and very easy to use. Would love to add it to my wellness program.
3 1/2 years ago I told my doctor that I would no longer take fosamax that I had been taking for at least and ordered your book. Thank you for giving frequent updates and helps. I have not had another bone scan and am in my 80’s. Gratefully, Alice
I work at an alternative health clinic and know that distilled water is highly recommended for our patients. A number of other institutions that I am familiar with also recommend distilled water and I would love to have a distiller in my home.
What an excellent idea to share all the information on water, the wondermedicine from nature.
I have helped lots of patients just by using waqter the right way.
It is the cheapest medicine for your health, your healing, your life!
“You’re not sick……..you’re thirsty”, a great saying by (water)dr. Batmanghelidj.
Thank you Vivian for all your great information!
Last week I wrote to ask for recommendation on water filter, and am so thrilled to have Vivian direct us to one that is good quality and affordable. This lady has it together. I believe everything she says!
Water is so critical to life and health.
Your information is priceless.
Thanks for all you do!
This distiller would be awesome to have in my house. The tap water in our town doesn’t taste good at all. It’s very nice of you to offer this and I hope I win! Thank you, Vivian! Janet
I didn’t realize how important distilled water was until I read the series on water. Always looking for ways to improve my bones.
Hi Vivian I have been collecting your emails for a few years, always meaning to read them. I sat down on the weekend and read…and read. I only wished i had opened them in the beginning. I am going through menopause and finally feel I have been steered in the right direction at last. Thank you for the hope it gave me
I have enjoyed your emails and all the information you provide and the idea of a distiller is a great opportunity to drink pure water. Keep the good work up. Thanks
Thank You for all the great info published! You clarified all the doubts I had on the subject.
Only doubt left was regarding “structured” water in clusters that is supposed to be better absorbed by the body.
Any good if water is distilled after passing through a previous filter?
Regards,
LT
I have had osteoporosis for many years and over the years have been prescribed several of the well known drugs. While still on the drugs I managed to fracture four vertabrae and more erecently fractured my hip. My doctor wanted to put me on one of the newer drugs administered by needle every six months. I read up on it and refused to take. I am now off all drugs and totally relying on your program. Too soon to say whether it is helping. Thank you for your caring advice. Keep up the good work.
Last time I left a comment they said I already said it and it was my first time to enter.
It is good to have sources of information about water, it’s benefits and water quality as it affects our health.
I never thought of ever getting a shower filtration for my shower. You information is great. This all makes sense. Thank you for all your information and letting the public know this information . It my family and I be healthier. I would love to win this prize.
Thanks, Vivienne, for your advice regarding a good water distiller – hope I’m the lucky winner!!
I have learned so much from this web site and would love to win a distiller.
I have enjoyed your “Save Your Bones” program as well as passing along the wealth of information provided in your emails and recommending this program to other friends and family.
I am new to receiving Vivian’s emails and find them very interesting. I am very interested in improving my bone health.
Vivian, I so enjoy your articles. I was told that distilled water was acidic and I stopped drinking it years ago. Thanks for clearing up this misconception for me. I am so back to drinking it again.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I was just recently diagnosed with osteoporosis at age 44. After doing research and finding your website I am convinced that drugs are not the way to go. I also know that it has been caused by the extreme medical problems I have had the past 4 years. So I am learning all I can about reversing this condition the natural way. Thank you so much for the information you provide.
I keep hearing of communities winning the battle of getting non-fluoridated water through their individual faucets. This has not happened where I live, but there is always hope.
Great news – When I am alone I can now talk to my water along with my plants. Seriously, this is very informative. I have been drinking only spring water for many years, but will definitely start drinking distilled water.
Hi Ms Goldschmidt. . I think that Distilled Water is the best kind of Water to drink. I have a Distiller, but I would not mind another one as this one only makes a jug and a half of Water. I put it into my husband’s water bottle for work and put it into my cats Water bowls. I use it for making tea and any cooking that needs water. When the first one we had broke down my husband said that the tap water did not taste too good. We had to wait for the second one after I ordered it.
Getting reid of all the yuky chemicals in my water would be wonderful, everything you can see get coated with them esp can see it when I can something it is all white when the jar come out of the bath and even hard to wipe off, have to use vingar to remove it from the jars so they look clean.
I value and appreciate the information you send to me regarding healthier ways to eat and drink. Many of my friends question me as to where I learned these valuable facts that I tell them. I am so grateful to you for the knowledge. Sincerely hope you continue with it.
Love ur emails-would love to win this-God bless you.
I continually look forward to reading the emails from Vivian regarding osteoporosis and other valuable topics. They keep reminding me that the choice I have made not to take osteoporosis drugs is the right one. I enjoy the articles on water and I would like very much to own a water distiller. I can see where that is the healthiest water for me to drink. It would be wonderful to receive the distiller you are offering but I realize that I am just one of many who would feel the same way. Thanks again for your wonderful web site!
Best wishes to you and your family,
Donna Kelly
OOOOOhh, the need for clean, healthy (healthful) water is primary for good health and functioning of our bodies. In the year 2012, clean water ought to be the norm, but sadly actual clean water is not a factual part of our lives. I make the effort to drink distilled water and I hope that I win this sweepstakes so as to not continually purchase distilled water. Thank you.
Thank you for all the important information you provide to all of us. The distiller sounds like it would be great, since I have noticed that the bottled water from supermarkets seems to have an aftertaste – not to pure clear and crisp that it should be.
I have been drinking distilled water for about 10 years. My friends & family think I’m making a big mistake because they believe what they have read about your body needing the minerals that are found in tap or filtered water. I keep pointing out to them that your body cannot “use” inorganic minerals, that it’s like drinking ground up rocks. I was so glad to find out that the Save Your Bones program supported other research that I have read about distilled water. It is the purest form of water. That’s when I realized I was on the right track with your program. Keep up the good work.
Margie from Texas
Best way in the world to take control of the water in our home…Thank-you
This is one of the best investments you could make. Have had access to one and the product is great. You won’t go wrong.
