I'm thrilled to announce that the ‘Win a Free Distiller Sweepstakes' starts today. In Part 1 and Part 2 of Water Week I've explained why drinking distilled water is the best choice both for your bones and for your overall health.
What I didn't tell you, is that at home, all the water I drink and cook with comes from my Waterwise 8800 Countertop Distiller. I've done the research, and it's by far the best distiller on the market.
I only have to fill the stainless steel boiler with tap water, press the start button, and a few hours later, I have one gallon of the best tasting, purest, and fluoride-free water.
And today you have an opportunity to win the Waterwise 8800 Countertop Distiller, plus more great prizes… all valued at $510!
Here's How It Works
To enter, simply leave a comment below, along with your name and email. Feel free to write anything your heart desires :). Please leave your comment before Wednesday, September 12th, at 10:00pm ET.
My team and I will then randomly select one grand prize winner, and five runners-up. Stay tuned, because I will announce the winners on Thursday, September 13th. Best of luck!

Here's What You Can Win: The ‘Save Our Bones Exclusive Waterwise Package'
Waterwise® 8800 Countertop Distiller
You’ll love using the 8800. All you do is fill the stainless steel boiler with tap water, press the start button, and soon you’ll be enjoying the purest water possible. With the easy-to-use electronic monitor, you can program it before bed for that first cup of coffee or tea in the morning. After running a one-gallon cycle, keep the BPA-free carafe in the refrigerator for a chilled glass of pure refreshment—whenever you want. Fill trays for perfectly clear and pure icecubes. Even take the 8800 along on your next trip. The portable, programmable 8800 is ready when you are!
The Waterwise 8800 combines steam distillation with carbon post-filtration, resulting in optimum water purity. The electronic monitor with its multifunction LCD readout even alerts you when it’s time to change the filter!
Sells for: $399
Deluxe Showerwise® Shower Filtration System
You’ll enjoy softer skin, healthier scalp and shinier hair after a Showerwise shower. Why? Because chlorine, commonly used to disinfect tap water, can make your skin dry, sensitive, flaky and itchy. It irritates your eyes and makes your hair dry and unmanageable. Worse yet, chlorine and chlorine by-products aggravate symptoms for many asthma, allergy, sinus and emphysema sufferers.
You may be shocked to know that your body can absorb more chlorine in a 1-minute shower than from drinking 8 glasses of the same water. But you can relax… chlorine is reduced by 95% with Showerwise. Also reduced is iron, lead, mercury and hydrogen sulfide. Bacterial, fungal and mildew growth are effectively inhibited.
Showerwise’s patented KDF-55 and Chlorgon filter material performs best in warm or hot water, unlike ordinary carbon filters that are effective in cold only. And Showerwise contains 50% more material for a longer, more effective lifetime than most filters, typically lasting 12-18 months!
Sells for: $69
6-Pack Carbon Filter Bags – 1 Year Supply
Carbon filtration enhances taste and purity by adsorption, aeration and degasification. Replace every 2-months or after 60-80 gallons distilled, whichever comes first. One bag drops into the filter compartment of the carafe lid.
Sells for: $36
Waterwise® BPA-Free Sports Bottle
Waterwise BPA-Free bottles are lightweight, reuseable and ensure that every drop of distilled water stays pure. They’re extremely durable and simple to clean (just use peroxide and water or baking soda and water, then rinse).
Sells for: $6

I hsve been on the saveourbones program for about two years and I was so
glad to have an wonderful alternative to those drugs from doctors. I do
use purified water but I buy it from a water delivery service which is
very expensive. I would be so thrilled to get the distiller because I also
use purified water for all cooking and coffee and tea making.I recomend the saveourbones program to as many people as I can. Actually this is a
much healthier diet than I had been on for many years. I was always a big ice cream person and I love the recipe you gave us. I also make ice creamwith bananas, strawberries, unsweetened yoghurt and honey.
Vivian. I´m your fan since I bought your book 3 years ago and been following your recommendation (I´ve filed all your messages) and spreading them to all my friends, doctors, family. I believe entirely in what you´re doing with all women which are, like me, dealing with osteoporosis. Thanks a lot for your work, your honesty to tell the truth and keep doing what you´re doing for our benefit around the world. Keep healthy. Thanks Elida
I have been trying to find the best product for clean water for a long, long time. Thanks for doing the research for me!
Since getting the book, I appreciate the email with health-wise information that would otherwise not get my attention. Thank you, Vivian, for starting this community!
Hello Vivian, thank you so much for all your valuable information about the best water to drink. After the last two articles you sent about water, it is clear that distiller water is the best for our bones and health. However, since I joined your program in the last 16 months, I have been trying to follow all your recommendations. I have read your original book about water and
I went ahead this june and invested in an expensive water Osmosis system Kenitico K5 under the sink which costed around $2000. Now I am a bit confused, as you are saying in the last two articles that reversed osmosis system has some downsides. Can you please advise if I still need the distiller or I am good with the reversed osmosis if I do good maintenance on the filters. Thank you so much
Hello everyone!
Wonderful to be here!
What a wonderful offer. Like one said,”We’d all like to win.” We are winners if we drink distilled water and follow the food recommendations
of Save Our Bones.
It’s almost two years since I ordered my book and I try to follow all your good advice. I’m scheduled for a bone scan very soon. Can’t wait to see the results. Thanks for all you teach us.
I really love your articles & insight. My family has a history of osteoporosis so your information has been very helpful. Thank you for all you do.
This sounds like I would love to have it in my home. The water here well let’s say I would never drink it.. I always buy mine.
When I was growing up I could drink water out of the back yard hose and it was fine..I miss the days when water was clean, the air was fresh and pleasant and healthy to breath…
Respectfully yours
Cathy
It’s great to have somebody like Vivian being so passionate to inform and educate the interested public in issues that are equally important to people with osteoporosis and those without. I find the information that comes up very well worth reading and disseminating further. I wonder if Vivian ever gets challenged by members of the medical profession or pharmaceutical companies.
Thank you for your valuble information you provide to all of us. As a Chiropractor I have always kept my patients informed on improving their health. I remember a medical book that stated that people made the biggest advance in living longer when they found that moving their wells for water away froom low areas below the stock yard areas to higher ground. The original wells were dug in low areas because the farmer did not have to dig so much to reach ground water. This the same thing you are doing when giving this information to us. Thank you. Dr Chet
The distilled water / non distilled water argument has been raging for years. Your discussion of the prose and cons for distilled water has convinced me that distilled water is the way to go. Thanks for all the research you have done and for your clear easy to understand presentation of your conclusions regarding that research.
Your articles about our bones, osteoporosis and water have been enlightening.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
good luck
This sounds like a great alternative to purchasing my distilled or purified water! My question is, does it also remove Fluoride? It’s put into all our tap water, and I would rather not ingest that, but never see that mineral in the list of pollutants that water filtration systems remove. Do you know?
Thanks!
This sounds like a terrific machine! Easy to operate and, voila, pure water
that helps my bones!
Vivian, I have been enjoying learning with you and your website about my osteopenia. I have learned more valuable information here, than anywhere.
Thank you so very much for the valuable work you do and disputing the Rx med “benefits” so many physicians steadfastly believe in. You are providing so many of us who are looking for the “least invasive” way to health.
I am so grateful that I stumbled onto your website! After being devastated about my spinal osteoporosis diagnosis last month, I can finally breathe! Hope is a beautiful thing! I am waiting for your book to arrive, and would absolutely love to own a distillery!
I USED TO HAVE A WATERWISE AND I LOVED IT, UNFORTUNATELY IT WENT BAD AFTER TWO YEARS AND I NEVER REPLACED IT. BUT, I DO CONTINUE TO DRINK DISTILLED WATER AND I LOVE IT. I AM VERY MUCH OPPOSED TO FLOURIDE IN OUR WATER AND DO NOT BELEIVE IN ANY WAY THAT IS IS GOOD FOR US IN ANY WAY FORM OR FASHION AS THEY WANT US TO BELEIVE. IT IS A POISON! I ALSO BELEIVE THAT MILK IS INTENDED FOR CALF’S AND NOT FOR HUMAN….DRINK MORE WATER-DISTILLED!!!
I have followed your Save Our Bones program, bought the book and found the information very helpful. Getting the water distiller would complete the circle of healthy living. Thanks for all your research.
From the time I have been reading Save Our Bone Program I was trying to find a location where to buy destilled water in my community but unable to find
Vivian, thank you so much for all the help with your great articles, I have been diagnose with osteoporisis as well my husband, I am a cancer patient so I really need to take care of my bones as my medication is a factor in loosing bone mass, I will continue to follow the adviced in your book and looking forward for a better health
I never knew it was good to drink distilled water, thanks for sharing your
knowledge.
Besides my 76 year old mother has benefited very much by your book
” save our bones program ” after three years she is off the regular osteoporosis drugs for more than a year now and finally the recent dexa scan revealed that her bone density is improving, which did not when she was on the drugs.
So thanks again.
Anuruddha.
This would look nice on my kitchen counter! Have been wanting to get a
water distiller.
Soooooooooo much appreciate all I’m learning via your e-newsletter, Vivian!
It would be fantastic to win your distiller. I’ve been dealing with osteoporosis for 10 years, after 5 on drugs I’m now trying your program and fighting my doctor to not go a different drug. Hoping your program helps me in that fight and the distiller would certainly help!
I am delighted to learn about these products as water is fundamental to life, and I never feel quite secure about the water I purchase. Sometimes the supermarket only has brand-X distilled water. Best wishes to the lucky winners. Odds are that it won’t be me. (Reverse psychology for good luck.)
Vivian, lately I have been adding squeezed lemons and limes to my water bottle, which I keep at my desk during work day. I wonder if acid leeches into the plastic.
Best wishes!
Vivian, Thank you for the education! You have helped me to live a wiser and healthier lifestyle. If I had followed the ideas of my healthcare professional, as well as what’s published in the Media, my osteopenia would have continued to spiral into a debilitating case of osteoporosis. I do not want to suffer with osteoporosis as did my mom, aunt and grandmother. Thanks to you, I am now Actonel free, eating a alkaline diet, doing bone strengthing exercises and YES increasing my bone density!!!
Your information on the importance of water has really opened my eyes. Water is not just water anymore!! Thanks to you, I now know distilled water is way more alkalizing and beneficial. I’m sincerely grateful!!!
This would like nice on my kitchen counter! Have been wanting to get a
water distiller.
Soooooooooo much appreciate all I’m learning via your e-newsletter, Vivian!
Thanks so much for you knowledge, comments and support. I was scheduled to receive a reclast infusion last Friday. I felt uncomfortable with taking the drugs when I felt like there could be an alternative route without the side effects. I have taken the oral medications with terrible side effects. I was delighted when I found my doctor was willing to work with me with alternative method, thanks to your information, I hope I am on the road to improvement with out damaging drugs.
I have followed you advice. I have been buying distilled water and drinking it with a splash of lemon. It’s great to know there is a system I can purchase and do it myself at home which seems more cost effective. Thank you, Vivian, for all you research and advice.
Vivian, I LOVE what you say about distilled water. I first learned about the magic of distilled water when I studied herbology under Dr John Christopher over 30 years ago. Everything you say about distilled water is in agreement with an herbalist’s point of view. I also love your book and your recipes. Many other authors just jump on the bandwagon of others’ point of view, and are against distilled water, but they have not studied all the facts. You have degrees in nutritional science and biochemistry and you think for yourself what makes sense. I like that. It makes sense to me too and is logical. Thank you for all that you do for others’ health. I have been through many distillers over the years and can always use another. Hugs, Dot
Thank you for sharing about the water distiller. It is important to have safe drinking water. It would be an answer to prayer to receive a free water distiller. Our well water is being tested for contaminents. We do not want to rely on bottled water.
I want to thank you for your book and the many items you have given to us on your site! Because I have chosen to not take medicine and follow your advice, I have been at peace with your terrific ideas. I am hoping for good bone scans in the future! Thanks again and have a wonderful day!
I would love to be the winner ! My Mother has Osteopenia and Scoliosis and my late grandmother had many issues as well. I used to have distilled water delivered until the prices changed, opted then for a tabletop filter that is not very effective. I get severe muscle cramps (something else that also runs in the family) so I do my best to stay hydrated, but my water source is not optimal.
Thank you for all of your research regarding healthy water choices. Hope to win that distiller. I am a 56 year old woman trying to improve – lumbar osteoporosis and osteopenia in the hip.
I’m really impressed with your articles. Very good explanation. Especially I was impressed with explanation re. Allkaline water.
Still, there are a lot of questions which need to be clarified…
What you have done for the women in our country is out of this world. Not one doctor, family memmbers or friends have realized until we explaine to them what is happening to them. They are so excited about being able to help themselves with food, lite exercise and water instead of pills, pills and more pills. Its just wonderful. Thank You
I AM SO HAPPY THAT YOU SOME HOW CAME TO MY MAIL BOX SEVERAL MONTHS AGO, MY DOC WANTS ME TO TAKE MED’S FOR MY OSTEOPOROSIS IN MY LOWER BACK, I REFUSE.
THEN YOU CAME ALONG AND SHOWED ME THAT I DO HAVE CONTROL OF MY BONE HEALTH.
I AM SO GRATEFUL, I HAVE BEEN RESEARCHING WATER MACHINES THAT PRODUCE ALKALINE WATER FOR OTHER REASONS , BUT THEY ARE VERY EXPENSIVE, I AM 70 YEARS YOUNG AND IN VERY GOOD HEALTH EXCEPT FOR MY LOWER BACK, BEING ON FIXED INCOME DOES NOT MAKE IT EASY TO GET THE FEW EXTRA THINGS WE SHOULD HAVE FOR GOOD HEALTH, I DO ALL NATURAL AND REFUSE TO TAKE THE PRESCRIBED POISONS.
I WOULD TRULY BE BLESSED IF I WERE THE ONE THAT BE CHOSEN TO RECEIVE THIS WONDERFUL GIFT.
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR VERY WISE INFORMATION I TRY VERY HARD TO FOLLOW YOUR EXAMPLE.
BE BLESSED IN ALL YOU DO,
WARM REGARDS,
KATHLEEN CRANE
Guess what, My wife and I have been married over 26 years, and we have been drinking distilled water since then. If we win, we could give our son it, because he is getting married 9 29 12, and he has drank distilled water all his life of 22 years, and he has NOT had any cavities in he teeth yet. Plus both our mothers and my wifes grandmother were on distilled water.
A friend of mine has been sharing your website information with me. I have enjoyed learning about the many ways of keeping my bones healthy. A distiller would be a a great asset to insure that we are drinking pure water.
it is difficult to get ditilled bottle water in this part of the world (i mean arabian gulf states) except from petrol stations where they sell distilled water in plastic bottles 500ml.to use it for batterys only, not for human consumption. All the water we use here is desalinated distilled/ tap water or it comes in plastic bottles. so from where it is possible to get pure distilled water aslong as we live here.
Thanks & Regards
abdulmalik
I have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis and rheumatoid and have just ordered the save our bones program and feel that this would also be a great help to me in getting started with the program. I really need all the help I can get to get a handle on saving my bones.
Thank You
A good distiller and filtration system are the best guarantees of getting pure, uncontaminated water for drinking and showering. Distilled and filtered water can promote health, flush out toxins, cleanse, hydrate and regenerate cells. As a senior citizen, it would be a long-time dream to have a quality distiller such as the Waterwise, and the accompanying shower filtration unit. It would give me such confidence to know I was doing the best I can to take care of my body and mind with pure water from Waterwise!
I have really enjoyed your Water articles. They has been very helpful. I currently get my distilled water from Zephyrhills direct and they come in 5 gallon heavy duty plastic containers. Is this type of plastic safe, or do chemicals from it leach into the water? I also store them in my garage which is hot, part of the year since I live in Florida. Is this harmful to the water?
I enjoy all your articles and have helped me with saving my bones!
Have A Great Day,
Dan
Interesting to know about a carefully searched out distiller.
Waterwise Countertop Distillers produce the most wonderful, delicious water for healthy bones – for healthy everything – and everyone, including our wonderful Olympic athletes on this their celebration parade day in London, owes it to themselves to drink only this “Gold Medal” quality water… distilled by Waterwise!
have written to you on several times about my problems and I’m in hopes that this machine will aid me in ways of reeding my body of all the cemicals that the water folks place in the water to make it at least fit to drink.at this time; I WANT TO THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME HAVE ONE OF YOUR DEGITATIZED BOOKS ONLINE-I HAVE PUT MOST OF WHAT I READ TO PRACTICE THANKS TO YOU; SO AGAIN THANK YOU; MY DOCTORS ARE TELLING ME THAT THE BONE DECEASE IS DROPPING MY STATUE 1/8 OF AN INCH EVERY THREE YRS.I AM BONE TO BONE IN THREE PLACE’S; AGAIN THANKS FOR PUTTING THE WORD OUT AND THIS MACHINE.
I have been using purified water and now since Vician’s articles have switched to distilled water. I would love to have one of the systems but beyond my means sunce I am on SS and just not affoedable. I have high blood pressure and diabetes, under control so I do everything I can to make me healthier.
I would be appreciated if chosen to eceive the sysstem free.
Thank you
Dorothy
Good Morning Vivian,
I am very inspired by your wealth of knowledge on Bone Health and hope some day I will be able to afford purchasing your program. I have been unemployed for some time now, but I try to eat right and stay healthy. I would very much like to be considered to win your sweepstake drawing for the distiller as it is cost inhibiting for me to purchase any time in the near future. And it would help me to continue to improve my bone health. You are and continue to be my inspiration.
Fondly, Bea
Living in Sussex Cty, DE, I’m surrounded by chicken coops and chicken processing plants, i.e., Purdue, Mountaire and Tyson. The farmers use the manure to fertilize their fields and the runoff into our water system is disturbing to me. When evening due sets in, it’s difficult to breathe at times from the fertilizer that permeates the air. I buy distilled water by the gallons and to be able to save the earth from all the discarded plastic bottles would be very helpful.
So thankful for the Save Our Bones program…unfortunately, after following the program for two years (after two fractured hips in two years) I have now been diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer. So now, after being so careful to protect my bones…they are pumping my body full of chemo and radiation. I will then need major surgery resulting in a colostomy. I kind of feel like no matter what I do, my body doesn’t cooperate!
All that to say, I am concerned about drinking water…I have been drinking distilled water with lemon, but am concerned about the plastic bottles it comes in. A home distiller would be WONDERFUL, but with all the medical costs, it is not in the budget right now. Thanks for considering me for this gift…and thanks to Vivian for all the vital information; I am a fan!!
