We use reverse osmosis, but as you note, it requires us to check the filter for bacteria and the water for purity on a regular basis. The distiller sounds like it’s less labor intensive.

I’m 53 and my health is very poor. My Dr. said over 20 years ago my heart disease was so advanced due to complications of chronic pancreatitis, he didn’t believe I would live past my 40’s. I am grieved to say that I feel I am nearing the end of my life. I can barely breathe as I am so short of breath, and take nitro for chest pain daily. Thank you for all you do and for all the good information you share with us. I had a distiller years ago, but with moving several times, we got away from distilling. You have now convinced me that it is the best water for us. I have a question. How does one find Calcium that is bioavailable?

I’m not sure that distilled water will provide all the minerals our body needs when you consider the depleted minerals in the vegetables we eat these days. Even organic vegetables likely do not provide what we used to get years ago. Distilled water for sure prevents us from most contaminants such as very low levels of drugs and wastewater effluent from upstream of our water source.

Now that I am retired, have osteoporsis, had stress and compression fractures,and taking care of my 93 year old mother {who is mostly bed bound due to sever osteoporsis} having a home distiller would be a blessing and health improvement for both of us. Thank you for your everything you do.
