I'm thrilled to announce that the ‘Win a Free Distiller Sweepstakes' starts today. In Part 1 and Part 2 of Water Week I've explained why drinking distilled water is the best choice both for your bones and for your overall health.
What I didn't tell you, is that at home, all the water I drink and cook with comes from my Waterwise 8800 Countertop Distiller. I've done the research, and it's by far the best distiller on the market.
I only have to fill the stainless steel boiler with tap water, press the start button, and a few hours later, I have one gallon of the best tasting, purest, and fluoride-free water.
And today you have an opportunity to win the Waterwise 8800 Countertop Distiller, plus more great prizes… all valued at $510!
Here's How It Works
To enter, simply leave a comment below, along with your name and email. Feel free to write anything your heart desires :). Please leave your comment before Wednesday, September 12th, at 10:00pm ET.
My team and I will then randomly select one grand prize winner, and five runners-up. Stay tuned, because I will announce the winners on Thursday, September 13th. Best of luck!

Here's What You Can Win: The ‘Save Our Bones Exclusive Waterwise Package'
Waterwise® 8800 Countertop Distiller
You’ll love using the 8800. All you do is fill the stainless steel boiler with tap water, press the start button, and soon you’ll be enjoying the purest water possible. With the easy-to-use electronic monitor, you can program it before bed for that first cup of coffee or tea in the morning. After running a one-gallon cycle, keep the BPA-free carafe in the refrigerator for a chilled glass of pure refreshment—whenever you want. Fill trays for perfectly clear and pure icecubes. Even take the 8800 along on your next trip. The portable, programmable 8800 is ready when you are!
The Waterwise 8800 combines steam distillation with carbon post-filtration, resulting in optimum water purity. The electronic monitor with its multifunction LCD readout even alerts you when it’s time to change the filter!
Sells for: $399
Deluxe Showerwise® Shower Filtration System
You’ll enjoy softer skin, healthier scalp and shinier hair after a Showerwise shower. Why? Because chlorine, commonly used to disinfect tap water, can make your skin dry, sensitive, flaky and itchy. It irritates your eyes and makes your hair dry and unmanageable. Worse yet, chlorine and chlorine by-products aggravate symptoms for many asthma, allergy, sinus and emphysema sufferers.
You may be shocked to know that your body can absorb more chlorine in a 1-minute shower than from drinking 8 glasses of the same water. But you can relax… chlorine is reduced by 95% with Showerwise. Also reduced is iron, lead, mercury and hydrogen sulfide. Bacterial, fungal and mildew growth are effectively inhibited.
Showerwise’s patented KDF-55 and Chlorgon filter material performs best in warm or hot water, unlike ordinary carbon filters that are effective in cold only. And Showerwise contains 50% more material for a longer, more effective lifetime than most filters, typically lasting 12-18 months!
Sells for: $69
6-Pack Carbon Filter Bags – 1 Year Supply
Carbon filtration enhances taste and purity by adsorption, aeration and degasification. Replace every 2-months or after 60-80 gallons distilled, whichever comes first. One bag drops into the filter compartment of the carafe lid.
Sells for: $36
Waterwise® BPA-Free Sports Bottle
Waterwise BPA-Free bottles are lightweight, reuseable and ensure that every drop of distilled water stays pure. They’re extremely durable and simple to clean (just use peroxide and water or baking soda and water, then rinse).
Sells for: $6

I love the thought of having sparkling clean water!
Out of all the health related blogs to which I subscribe, this one certainly is one of the better ones. Vivian’s comments are well researched. I have quite a bit of background in how the body works; unlike a lot of other bloggers, Vivian does not assume that the reader won’t catch something that is a half-truth or true only under certain (i.e perfect) conditions.
Keep it up. I love these posts.
I have always had a problem with drinking enough water. Sometimes I actually feel like I am drowning. I have high blood pressure and artherisis and my doctor tells me to drink more water and a water pill. The two seem to contrdict each other. Suggestions?

Great information of distilled water. I had always thought it was not good for you and was thinking of investing in a reverse osmosis unit to get rid of the fluoride, but this looks like a better direction. Thanks for your other articles as well.
After learning that my most recent bone density test measured a T score of -3.7. my doctor prescribed prolia as a “last resort.” I am 81 years old. After evaluating information on the net re: prolia, I decided not to take it. The side effects were really scarry. My doctor was not pleased.
While looking for an alternative I found “Save our Bones” on the net. I was particularly impressed by the detail with which Ms. Goldschmidt described the problems and treatment of osteoporosis. The more I read her e-mails that I started to receive, the more certain I was that I should purchase her program. Her book was a real eye opener to me.
Although I consider myelf well informed re: the basics of nutrition, once again the detail and the thoroughness with which she “teaches” and proposes specific treatment for the problems of osteoporisis convinced me to follow her recommendations. In addition I look forward to the weekly e-mails she sends
I have since lent the book to my son, whose wife has osteoporosis. She plans to purchase the book, and I plan to do the same with my other four kids.Fortunately they feel that their dad, old fogey that he is,l knowledgeable re; the basics of good health.
Thank you
Save our bones has been a real eye opener for me and has helped me to eat a better diet. It has also helped me resisting the pressure of doctors who have tried to push me into taking drugs for my osteoporosis.
I trust your opinions/recommendations and am trying to follow them. Thanks for daily/weekly recmmendations. Looking forward to obtaining this Waterwise distiller.
Regards,
Evelyn
I have been a member of the Save Our Bones community for a few years now, and the one thing that stands out most is “truth”. Each time I would visit the doctor regarding my osteoporosis I would bring up what I had read in one of your emails. Invariably he would say I was misinformed. Well, Vivian, you were always right. Now the medical community admits drugs like Fosamax, Boniva, etc. cause brittle bones. I was told Reclast would be better, you were right again about its side effects.
Thanks for all the “misinformation”. I will keep on reading and passing it on to the powers that be.
We currently use a faucet water purifier. It would be great to have a higher quality water filter. Thank you!
I’m a distilled water fan since beginning Save Our Bones and would love my own distiller.
Save our Bones news is the only reliable source of way to overcome osteporosis by natural means. After 8 years on Fosamax, I started to have problems with my teeth. I stopped the drug and followed the natural way. My bone loss has slowed and my dental problems went away.
i will love to have water filter.
I TRULY APPRECIATE ALL OF THE INFORMATION I RECEIVE. I BELIEVE I’M A MUCH HEALTHIER AND HAPPY PERSON….. AND SO IS MY HUSBAND.
Sounds great I haven’t seen them in South Africa and here water is very precious
THANK YOU SO MUCH VIVIANE FOR HELPING US ALL, FINALLY SOMEONE WHO CARE FOR HUMANITY, I HAVE ORDER YOUR BOOK SAVE OUR BONES, IT WILL TAKE A WHILE TO REACH ME IN JOHANNESBURG – SOUTH AFRICA BUT I WILL MAKE A LOT OF PUBLICITY FOR U ON THIS SIDE OF THE WORLD.PROMISE
AND I CARRY ON TO READ ALL YOUR EMAILS.
HOPE TO MEET U ONE DAY ON THIS PLANET, WHO KNOWS
WARM REGARDS

I’ve heard pros and cons about distilled water but I trust your judgement. Your news letters are so informative. Thank you for creating your osteoporosis website.
Thanks for your website, it’s been so helpful.
I first became aware of your program in February and have been adhering
to the diet since day one. I feel great and am enjoying my bone healthy
eating. I am scheduled for a bone density test in December and can’t wait
to compare the results to the last one. I have also recruited two friends
who are following the plan and happy with it. Thank you for your
amazing research in helping to “Save Our Bones.”

Being a fairly new kidney transplant recipient (1yr) It’s really important that I drink at least 1/2 gallon of water a day. I know the distiller would be really helpful. Being disabled and due to financial considerations it’s been impossible for me to obtain distilled water. What a tremendous gift this would be!!
I presently haul water home from a pure spring. Would love to be able to get good water from my tap!
After 2 years following the PH balance diet, a bone scan this spring showed zero bone lose. This after 10 years of bone scans showing a loss. I’m feeling great and think my bones must also be stronger since a fall from the dock this summer onto a pile of large boulders resulted in zero broken bones! Thank you for all your well presented information. I often pass your information on to friends and family.
I love your email info. I bought your book a number of months ago. It’s full of useful suggestions. I’ve been using a Waterwise Distiller for 18 yrs. I’ve been thinking about getting another one. They are fabulous. Wouldn’t mind winning this one!! Thank for all your help! Pam
I always look forward to your emails — they are so informative. Since starting your program almost two years ago, I’ve been able to quit taking Prilosec. I also quit taking Evista after reading your report. At 74 yrs of age my overall health is excellent — I hope to keep it that way. Thanks for all you do!!
I refused to fill the Rx my doctor prescribed for my osteoporosis, but I am currently unemployed and buying water is not something I can afford now. I am greatful to Vivian for sharing her wealth of knowldge with us all and giving us another better alternative.
Hi! Vivian,
I Would Love A Distiller In My Home Too, But I Can’t Afford The Price. So If I Won One It Would Be Great!
And I Also Know That Other People Would Like To Win One Also! So If I Could Choose Two People I’d Like To Win One, I’d Probably Choose Mary Ann Kammer, Or Margie. They Seem To Need One The Most!
LOVE, LESLIE (MS. L.)
Water Water everywhere and not a drop to drink, that is, safe to drink. We pour water all over us everyday in the shower never caring about our skin. We drink water everyday never caring about our innerds. No wonder we shrivel away daily, we should feel inhumane, we were not called to poison our bodies. Can you imagine how young we could grow, how healthy we could be if only we cared and were water-wise. It’s so very simple to purify our water and change our very beings. Blessings to All Sue Wall
Thanks Vivian,
I love reading your readers comments. They help me stay focussed and improving my bone health. All you do is much appreciated.
Hi Vivian
What can I say that’s not been said already you have help so many of us and are still helping, giving us conference to get on with our lives in a positive way to say thank you is so small but it comes from my heart everyday x

Your water week articles make sense. I can certainly see the value here. It is helping me to think differently. Thanks.
Exactly what I want in my home! I an passionate about no chemicals in my home.
I enjoy reading your articles and try to stay fit and healthy by walking daily and doing whatever workouts I can. I have been diagnosed with osteoporosis, arthritis, and bursitis but I am determined that these will not get the best of me. I have 3 beautiful children and 3 beautiful grandchildren and one on the way and I plan to spend many hours playing with them, rompgine with them, chasing after them, watching them play sports, etc rather than letting these ailments get the best of me. The more I move, the better I feel. What an awesome drawing! I drink lots of water daily and would love to win such a nice gift. Thank you so much for all you do!
Vivian – Thanks for all your information on water, and your interesting and educational emails!
And souls that cry out

Thank you for all the invaluable information you give us to help keep our bones strong and healthy. It is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for the informative information.
Thank you for your teach to reach on saving our bones by providing the distlled water package you have opened the door to the avoidance of disease by having access to real water for many!
Jasper Jones
The article was very detailed and very well written. Some people believe filtered water is best because it does not remove minerals, etc., but filtered water does not remove all of the chemicals, etc. WaterWise is the distiller of choice from other Alternative newsletter authors. I can understand why a WaterWise distiller is the distiller of choice for those serious about maintaining good health.
I had stopped taking Fosamax some time ago. Now, with your information, I feel that was a good decision. Too bad I was not aware earlier of the problems I could face by taking this med. Thank you for your good information.
The distiller looks fantastic! WOW! At present we are on spring water from our surrounding mountains. We are planning to test it soon, but who knows what it contains. After reading your articles, I am concerned!
I have not lost anymore bone mass since I started reading your book. Now I’m working hard on gaining back strong bones. Thanks for all the information. I couldn’t have done this without you. This would be a wonderful birthday present to me (22 Sept) and my grand-daughter (13 Sept). Thanks Vivian
I have been taken your Ultimate Bone Support pills about a month. I hope it will help me. I stopped taking Fosamax several months ago. We use a water filter system that I hope is filtering adequately. I would use the distilled system you are advertising.
I have been following your plan intently since stopping my osteo meds. For the last dozen years, I have been drinking distilled water and totally agree with what you say concerning its benefits. Actually I have almost worn out my Waterwise distiller from continued used for my family and my daughter’s family. I would love to recommend this product to others and win a new one for our families. Thank you for your work and advice on the internet, articles and books.
BEING WATERWISE ENSURES HEALTHY BODIES AND STRONG MINDS
I enjoy reading your articles, espcecially since I have osteopenia, I’ve learned a lot. Also didn’t know about the differences in water, this information really helps.
Thank you so much for all enlightening information. It is tragic that this is not widely available.
I find all your articles very thought provocing and informative. Of course water is the essence of life, you would expect a fresh water supply from a drilled well to be pure. Unfortunately that is not always the case. How nice it would be to have the added security of knowing that if something was in your drinking water that shouldn’t be, you could ensure that it is taken out and you are good to go. Todays population has has to deal with pollution from all levels – the water we drink, the air we breath and the food we eat.It will take a very long time to get this planet of ours to where it should be, if ever. What a shame! In the meantime, to do everything you can to protect your familys health and well being is no easy task, and utilizing something as basic as pure, clean water is an absolute must.I would be thrilled if I were to win this countertop filtration system that you so highly recomend.Since getting involved with the “Save Our Bones” pgrogram I no longer have osteoporosis but it is now ostopenia, so obviouly something is working. Your excellent advice has been a great help to me- no more prescription bone builders for this girl. Common sense, home cooked meals, no processed foods and exercise seem a pretty reasonable route to taken. Thanks Vivian!
Regards
Brigitte
THANK YOU!
THANK YOU!
THANK YOU!
YOU HAVE CHANGED OUR LIVES!!!
Both my mom & I now live pain free…..
I love all the information you give us. Thank you.
My entry is dedicated to the endocrinologist who 3 years ago wrote me an Rx for Fosamax, and was then surprised that I cancelled the follow-up appointment (not only cancelled that – I cancelled her out of my life forever). I then ripped up the Rx – NEVER to be filled! Then, I found Vivian! I most of all appreciate the specific research info, so that I am knowledgeable when I attempt to convince my friends to rip up their Rx’s also.
