I'm thrilled to announce that the ‘Win a Free Distiller Sweepstakes' starts today. In Part 1 and Part 2 of Water Week I've explained why drinking distilled water is the best choice both for your bones and for your overall health.
What I didn't tell you, is that at home, all the water I drink and cook with comes from my Waterwise 8800 Countertop Distiller. I've done the research, and it's by far the best distiller on the market.
I only have to fill the stainless steel boiler with tap water, press the start button, and a few hours later, I have one gallon of the best tasting, purest, and fluoride-free water.
And today you have an opportunity to win the Waterwise 8800 Countertop Distiller, plus more great prizes… all valued at $510!
Here's How It Works
To enter, simply leave a comment below, along with your name and email. Feel free to write anything your heart desires :). Please leave your comment before Wednesday, September 12th, at 10:00pm ET.
My team and I will then randomly select one grand prize winner, and five runners-up. Stay tuned, because I will announce the winners on Thursday, September 13th. Best of luck!
- Grand Prize: One lucky winner will get the entire ‘Save Our Bones Exclusive Waterwise Package', which normally sells for $510.
- Runners-Up: Five lucky winners will receive the Waterwise BPA-Free Sports Bottle.
I really love being in control of my water with the Waterwise distiller, and I'm sure you will too!

Here's What You Can Win: The ‘Save Our Bones Exclusive Waterwise Package'
Waterwise® 8800 Countertop Distiller
You’ll love using the 8800. All you do is fill the stainless steel boiler with tap water, press the start button, and soon you’ll be enjoying the purest water possible. With the easy-to-use electronic monitor, you can program it before bed for that first cup of coffee or tea in the morning. After running a one-gallon cycle, keep the BPA-free carafe in the refrigerator for a chilled glass of pure refreshment—whenever you want. Fill trays for perfectly clear and pure icecubes. Even take the 8800 along on your next trip. The portable, programmable 8800 is ready when you are!
The Waterwise 8800 combines steam distillation with carbon post-filtration, resulting in optimum water purity. The electronic monitor with its multifunction LCD readout even alerts you when it’s time to change the filter!
Sells for: $399
Deluxe Showerwise® Shower Filtration System
You’ll enjoy softer skin, healthier scalp and shinier hair after a Showerwise shower. Why? Because chlorine, commonly used to disinfect tap water, can make your skin dry, sensitive, flaky and itchy. It irritates your eyes and makes your hair dry and unmanageable. Worse yet, chlorine and chlorine by-products aggravate symptoms for many asthma, allergy, sinus and emphysema sufferers.
You may be shocked to know that your body can absorb more chlorine in a 1-minute shower than from drinking 8 glasses of the same water. But you can relax… chlorine is reduced by 95% with Showerwise. Also reduced is iron, lead, mercury and hydrogen sulfide. Bacterial, fungal and mildew growth are effectively inhibited.
Showerwise’s patented KDF-55 and Chlorgon filter material performs best in warm or hot water, unlike ordinary carbon filters that are effective in cold only. And Showerwise contains 50% more material for a longer, more effective lifetime than most filters, typically lasting 12-18 months!
Sells for: $69
6-Pack Carbon Filter Bags – 1 Year Supply
Carbon filtration enhances taste and purity by adsorption, aeration and degasification. Replace every 2-months or after 60-80 gallons distilled, whichever comes first. One bag drops into the filter compartment of the carafe lid.
Sells for: $36
Waterwise® BPA-Free Sports Bottle
Waterwise BPA-Free bottles are lightweight, reuseable and ensure that every drop of distilled water stays pure. They’re extremely durable and simple to clean (just use peroxide and water or baking soda and water, then rinse).
Sells for: $6

Thanks Vivian for your informative e-mails! I particulary found the series regarding the best choice for water consumption very informative, with down to earth and insightful facts, obviously wew-researched, and extremely helpful. With all the confusing and extensive advertising for a variety of water sources, your series really cleared things up for me. My family do drink distilled water, but we currently use the 18L re-usable bottles. Whoever wins the distiller will really be thankful, I am sure. Keep all the great information coming…. love it!
Would LOVE the opportunity to win the wise water distiller,as to help me regain my bone mass, long with all the valuable information you give each day. Bless you for caring so much.
Vivian it’s so kind of you to care so much about our bone health. It’s a big issue for me to get the most info about getting stronger healthier bones and the Waterwise Package would just make my bones happy.
thank you so much. Pam
thanks for the opportunity to win a shower filter. This will help my skin and hair a lot. Distiller also sounds great. hope to get to try this!
Looking forward to a clean water source by using a distiller. Thank you for educating people about water.
In 1996 an allergist told me to always use distilled water. After all these years I’m delighted to enter your sweepstakes for such a functional counter top unit! The filter for the shower is a great idea also. Thanks so much for all your research & sharing your knowledge.
I’m grateful to Vivian Goldschmidt for her research and publishing of information to help me understand and overcome my osteoporosis. If I had listened to my doctor I’d be in real risk of fracture. Thanks to Vivian’s work and following her program for 6 months, this year’s bone scan showed no loss and I expect that next year I will show bone mass gain.
I love reading your emails. Your writings seems to come from your heart and I know that I can benefit from your vast knowledge. I look forward to more informative emails and books.
I am 60. I don’t know yet if following “save our bones” is helping me reverse my osteoporosis, but I know I feel better now! I am tired of lugging distilled water home all the time and want to save up enough to get a distiller eventually.
You mentioned above your stainless steel boiler. Is s/s not metallic?
Also you mentioned ‘the best tasting water’. Is water supposed to have
a taste to it?
Please straighten me out on the above two questions.

I’m Seventy now and my husband of forty-eight years just turned seventy also.We try to keep healthy and we are both reasonably so but finding good products that pensioners can afford often results in low or no value products being used .this machine looks like a beauty, portable also!
Keep up the good work we enjoy you articles.

Enjoyed reading about water and all its benefits. Both my sisters take Fosamax. Hopefully I’ll win the distiller so I can drink water instead…
Thank you for “Save Our Bones” program. Your email updates give me the courage to reject taking osteoporosis drugs and work on improving my bone health by exercise and heathier diet.
I started on the Save our Bones program in the spring of this year. I am 82 years old and have felt so much better since starting the program. I don’t know about my bones yet, but I can tell by my fingernails that something good is happening to my bones. My nails are stronger and aren’t breaking the way they were.
I buy distilled water from the grocery store. It is a little added expense to my grocery bill but I feel that it is well worth it.
I took Fosamax for a while many years ago and decided that I didn’t want to go that way. I quit and the doctor is still trying to get me to go back to it. No way, I’ll take my chances with the Osteoporosis Reversal Program.
Wow, what a nice prize!!
Thanks for the distiller information. My husband and I have been looking for a good one! Your water articles have been so helpful! Thanks for all your helpful information! Bettye
It would be fabulous to win your distiller as I have a huge amount of chlorine in my city water. My house smells of it after each shower. Thanks for all your interesting information.
For someone with MS and arsenic in our well water, I would love to have this distilled water set-up.
I think this would be a fantastic help with trying to regain more bone. I hope that I will be the lucky one.
I strive to maintain the proper acid/alkaline balance with my meals. Now I need to pay more attention to the water I drink as well. Currently, I’m adding a few drops of fresh lemon juice but now know I have to do more. Thank you so much, Vivian, for all the great information!
You are very generous. Thanks for all your invaluable information.
Paul
Your water giveaway sounds super, would come in handy as we are on well water.
It,s great to have the opportunity to have someone as caring as you to share their knowledge and experience with those of us that care about our health and well being.
Thank you so much for your contribution to so many lives.
Whilst following the “Save our Bones” life style I beieve having a
Waterwise Counter Top Distiller would complete the healthy living
lifestyle I am trying to give both my husband and myself. He is 91 and I am 81 and still do everything for ourselves. We grow most of our own
vegetables and fruit naturally but have no control on what is in the
water that we drink. A distiller would be wonderful.
Thank you Vivian for all your helpful advice.

Thank you for the encouraging information!
Hi Vivian
To win such a prize would be the best Christmas present ever.
I have bad osteoporosis especially in the spine but I purchased your book and have not looked back. I get a lot of emails but when I see one of your emails, Vivian, I ignore the rest until I’ve opened yours.
We enjoy our distilled water, we have a “Megahome Water Distiller”
which is UL approved, cleans up so easily. We did own a Waterwise Distiller
8800 which after one and a half years almost caught fire and is not UL
approved. The plug on the back burned out while it was running, good thing I
was home at the time. Others have had this same problem. Waterwise were very
rude when we reported this and didn’t compensate us in any way.
The Megahome only cost $175.00
Ethel
Thank you Vivian for all the great content you share with us. Whoever wins the prizes will make the best out of it.
Best of luck to everyone.
Regards.
I am new to your site – about one month or so. I really appreciate it. I just recently was diagnosed with thyroid problems. Not working so well. I was told to get the cholrine and flouride out of my water. So I have been
buying spring water at the grocery store. Now I find out that distilled is
better – I really would like to win this from you. I truly hope women will
read your site it is very informative.
Thank you for giving me this opportunity.
God Bless
I totally believe in drinking 1/2 my body weight in water daily. I feel so much better doing so. In fact on those days I forget to my body lets me know. I enjoy learning about new things that will improve my health and well being. If distilled water is the way then I’m all for it. Keep up the good work Vivian you’ve touched a lot of people’s lifes. Thanks.
What a fabulous idea and prize. No lugging bottles of water, no more plastic in landfills, or healthy for us and healthy for the planet.
I can’t wait to start on your program, and clean, safe water sounds like the perfect place to start!
Thank you for the valuable information you have shared about our drinking water and what we can do to become truly healthy.
Thanks so very much for information on Water, I did not realise distilled water could be done at home, I use a filter but the distill sound so much better.
Please keep up your wonderful work.
Thanks Goldie
Since I found you on the internet and purchased your plan, I have become so relaxed about how I eat and what I think about when ordering out! You have made me a very happy camper, and it has only been over a year, so I have not had a bone density test again, not for another 7 months, but I will certainly let you know – it has to be better, my aches and pains are practically gone (exercise has really helped also). Love ya, JL
Thanks for your great work. I have been looking for a way to get pure drinking water and this way seems to be the best.
I have learned so much from reading your e-mails. Thank you for helping so many of us!
I have to purchase distilled water to use in my Sleep Apenea machine. I know and understand the true value here.
I am so into keeping my self healthy and this would be perfect addition to all the steps that I am taking to keep myself strong and healthy, mind body and soul
Sounds like a good idea but go on Amazon.com and Ebay as well and type in Waterwise 8800. There you will see reviews. They are not all good. One factor is the carafe is plastic (#7 polycarbonate); their website says it does not leach BPA, but who knows. #7 is a one time use. The report that comes with the system states that it only removes flouride to EPA standards-4. Isn’t that is what’s in our tap water? The 9000 model got quite bad reviews. The 4000 model, which is cheaper but does come with a glass carafe, is made in China and has lots of plastic parts which don’t wear well.
It would be so awesome and convenient to have one’s very own distiller.
Thank you for the opportunity to win one.
My “Save our Bones” book is a great resource. I am trying very hard to follow as much advice as I possibly can. If my osteopenia does not improve (due for screening next summer) at least I can honestly say that I’ve never felt better. I have been reading Vivian’s articles about water with interest and am thinking about purchasing a home water distiller.
I’m very aware of what type of water I ingest to stay hydrated required by your body for healthy functioning. A water distiller would be a great help to achieve this goal.
Viaian, I appreciate all the information you dispense with your e-mails in trying to keep us healthy.
I subscribed initially to your website because I wanted to collect the information you were sending out to have on hand for others I know – or would come to know – who might need it. I will be 70 years old next year and am more or less healthy, although there is always room for improvement. I have been quite pleased with the quality of information and when, on an earlier posting about water, you mentioned that there was a misconception that distilled water leached nutrients out of the body when, in fact, it does not, that was music to my ears. However, I was still questioning as to whether Reverse Osmosis or Distillation was the better option. I am so glad you decided to do this “mini-series” about water as now I have my answer. One way or another, there will be a water distiller in my future. Thank you for settling THAT argument for me!
Densercise is the best for osteoporosis!
I know how much a Distiller would improve health so look forward to owning one….
Drinking water is so very important to your overall health as it is the essence of life. This is a marvelous opportunity to have a distiller that would make the best drinking water. Wish everyone could win one!!
A fabulous opportunity. Thanks for setting up this promotion.
My doctor says, “You will never reverse your osteoporosis with diet!” She is not pleased with me. One of these days I hope to surprise her! Thanks, Vivian!
