Please think about the future of our United States when you vote in November and remember what America use to be like and what it is turning into since our present administration took head of govt. I have wanted a disiller for years but it hasn’t been in my budget. Instead I haul home cases of distilled water plus I get clean, non-clorinated water from a friends agricultural well once every 3 or 4 months and fill many boxes and haul that home at 76 yrs old. I know there would be many advantages to have a distiller and I pray I am lucky and win this distiller.

How often must the shower filters be changed?
Lots of Chlorine in our water here.

I found your articles about water interesting, but up where I live in FNQ we have no water supply, except for rainwater and our permanent creek water. Luckily there is no farming in our valley and no industry so feral animals would be the only pollunts of the creek. We have a filter system on our drinking tank tap and then just to be sure I boil the water which gets to be quite a big job in our dry season just starting. But after reading your articles I think we are lucky.
I believe that good water is essential to good health. We have left the quality of our water supply in the hands of those who do not necessarily have our best health interest at heart. I would like to regain conrol over the quality of my family’s available water. I believe a water distiller is one way to achieve that goal. Not only do we want to use it at home, but we are also a member of a hunting club and we have a well at our hunting camp. It would be a relief to know that the water from our well can be cleaned by using the distiller also. Pat

Even treated tapwater may have many impurities. Distillation removes the vast majority of impurities.

Thank you for the information on the differences between bottled water companies…and the importence of proper hydration. I recently discovered (by trial and error) that my body needed more hydration after menopause. I grew up drinking distilled water. My husband, not accustomed to the taste of distilled, had a RO system, complete with carbon filter at the house source installed. I am very grateful for the Save Our Bones website. It has given me so much peace in that I can do something about my bones. I thank you Vivian for your dedication and all the information I obtain from your website.
My DEXA scores just keep going down and my endocrinologist keeps writing notes on them that I am improving. Makes no sense. I have spoken to an orthopedist about bone health and she said they wait until you have a fracture, then put you on bisphonates. Our medical system appears to be whacko. I have tried to get help from M.D.s and gotten absolutely nowhere! Thankfully, you talk about an alternative and I was so frustrated last week when you talked about distilling your water at home. I have taken a lot of chemistry classes long ago getting by undergraduate degree and imagined you having some big set-up like we used to have in our lab with a Bunsen burner, beakers, tubing, flasks, to distill a solution. I thought “How does Vivian think we can do THAT???” I had never heard of this machine. I would love to win one because all the alternatives you talk about have drawbacks, even bottled water surprisingly. Maybe I’ll get lucky. Anyway, thank you for providing us with an alternative when our doctors completely fail us by merely wanting to hand out meds with some really bad side effects.
