I'm thrilled to announce that the ‘Win a Free Distiller Sweepstakes' starts today. In Part 1 and Part 2 of Water Week I've explained why drinking distilled water is the best choice both for your bones and for your overall health.
What I didn't tell you, is that at home, all the water I drink and cook with comes from my Waterwise 8800 Countertop Distiller. I've done the research, and it's by far the best distiller on the market.
I only have to fill the stainless steel boiler with tap water, press the start button, and a few hours later, I have one gallon of the best tasting, purest, and fluoride-free water.
And today you have an opportunity to win the Waterwise 8800 Countertop Distiller, plus more great prizes… all valued at $510!
Here's How It Works
To enter, simply leave a comment below, along with your name and email. Feel free to write anything your heart desires :). Please leave your comment before Wednesday, September 12th, at 10:00pm ET.
My team and I will then randomly select one grand prize winner, and five runners-up. Stay tuned, because I will announce the winners on Thursday, September 13th. Best of luck!
- Grand Prize: One lucky winner will get the entire ‘Save Our Bones Exclusive Waterwise Package', which normally sells for $510.
- Runners-Up: Five lucky winners will receive the Waterwise BPA-Free Sports Bottle.
I really love being in control of my water with the Waterwise distiller, and I'm sure you will too!

Here's What You Can Win: The ‘Save Our Bones Exclusive Waterwise Package'
Waterwise® 8800 Countertop Distiller
You’ll love using the 8800. All you do is fill the stainless steel boiler with tap water, press the start button, and soon you’ll be enjoying the purest water possible. With the easy-to-use electronic monitor, you can program it before bed for that first cup of coffee or tea in the morning. After running a one-gallon cycle, keep the BPA-free carafe in the refrigerator for a chilled glass of pure refreshment—whenever you want. Fill trays for perfectly clear and pure icecubes. Even take the 8800 along on your next trip. The portable, programmable 8800 is ready when you are!
The Waterwise 8800 combines steam distillation with carbon post-filtration, resulting in optimum water purity. The electronic monitor with its multifunction LCD readout even alerts you when it’s time to change the filter!
Sells for: $399
Deluxe Showerwise® Shower Filtration System
You’ll enjoy softer skin, healthier scalp and shinier hair after a Showerwise shower. Why? Because chlorine, commonly used to disinfect tap water, can make your skin dry, sensitive, flaky and itchy. It irritates your eyes and makes your hair dry and unmanageable. Worse yet, chlorine and chlorine by-products aggravate symptoms for many asthma, allergy, sinus and emphysema sufferers.
You may be shocked to know that your body can absorb more chlorine in a 1-minute shower than from drinking 8 glasses of the same water. But you can relax… chlorine is reduced by 95% with Showerwise. Also reduced is iron, lead, mercury and hydrogen sulfide. Bacterial, fungal and mildew growth are effectively inhibited.
Showerwise’s patented KDF-55 and Chlorgon filter material performs best in warm or hot water, unlike ordinary carbon filters that are effective in cold only. And Showerwise contains 50% more material for a longer, more effective lifetime than most filters, typically lasting 12-18 months!
Sells for: $69
6-Pack Carbon Filter Bags – 1 Year Supply
Carbon filtration enhances taste and purity by adsorption, aeration and degasification. Replace every 2-months or after 60-80 gallons distilled, whichever comes first. One bag drops into the filter compartment of the carafe lid.
Sells for: $36
Waterwise® BPA-Free Sports Bottle
Waterwise BPA-Free bottles are lightweight, reuseable and ensure that every drop of distilled water stays pure. They’re extremely durable and simple to clean (just use peroxide and water or baking soda and water, then rinse).
Sells for: $6

I have your Save your Bones book. I enjoy receiving all the information you have been sending me.
Vivian,
Your wonderful Save Our Bones program has altered how I eat and how I feel. I’m feeling better by eating more vegetables and less animal protein. I’ve even lost weight while eating in a more healthy manner. I’ve always preferred drinking plenty of water instead of juices or soda, so a quality water filter would be a good addition to a healthy lifestyle. Thank you for your emails that are always packed with useful information for all your readers.
I love your emails about “save our bones”. I had problems with my back, neck, knees and hands few years ago. It is getting worse as the day go by. I have try other pills to make the pain go away and it dont alway works. My hands started to show swollen in the joints. I have been drinking a lot of water daily since I stop drinking soda for over 2 years now. I didnt know that it is better to drink distriller water. I would love to win that machine.
Thank you for sharing your information to help us all.
Pamela
I’ve been a water hater all my life. With your help I’m on the path to a love-of-water destination.
Vivian,
Thanks for all your hard work for all of us. I have been thinking of getting a water purifier for awhile. This one sounds like a wonderful
one to help with my health/bones. Thanks again.
Through you, Vivien, I have learned much about foods, human biology, supplements and good health. I so appreciate that you share the science behind conclusions and that you ‘break it down’ to an understandable level.
You make it ‘organic’ so it is absorbed. And thank you for ‘Water Week I & II. It has been an eye opener.
Don’t stop!
Gail
I LOVE IT..IM A WATER FREAK.MOST OF THE TIME WE ARE BUYING SPRING WATER..THIS SURE WOULD SAVE US ALOT OF MONEY..WHERE EVER I GO..MY WATER IS WITH ME..MY HUSBAND IS ALSO DRINKING MORE..WE BOTH THINK “SAVING OUR BONES”IS A GOOD THING WE HAVE STARTED TO DO BEING BOTH SENIORS..HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!!
Since belonging to Save Our Bones and reading the book, emails for the past 3 years, I started drinking distilled water and often have it with a bit of lemon juice as you suggested. I had been diagnosed with borderline osteopenia and though I haven’t had another bone density test, I can say I am as active as ever and have not had any bone issues.
We have well water which does not taste great. I have tried to get an analysis done of it to ensure it does not contain toxic run-offs from farmers fields, but only private companies will do this and it is WAAAAY too expensive to pay for ourselves. The government will only check for e-coli, which we know we do not have. We do not drink enough water now, but hopefully can start with a nice handy distiller on our counter! Thank you for all the wonderful information.
I have been using the waterwise distiller for years. It’s simple, easy to operate. I usually run it at night. The water is ready for me when I get up in the morning. I have had to get mine repaired over the years, but even with that the taste and quality are great!
I am 67 year old, was diagnosed with osteopenia at 52, now I’m high risk for fracture I have the Bone Health Revolution and try to do much of what is said, don’t seem to be able to increase my bone density. I walk and practice yoga/stretching when I can but after a head injury 20years ago, I’m still having severe headaches and dizziness that are very debilatating but try to do my best.
I would very much like the distiller, it would be so appreciated.
Thank you for having this draw.
Since becoming aware of the Save Our Bones program, it has totally changed my life, definitely put me on the right path to healthy bones and a healthy body, mind and spirit!. Thank you, Vivian for your continuing devotion to keeping us aware and updated on the “bone issues!”
Vivian, the Waterworks distiller sounds GREAT! It would improve
our health, I’m sure. Thank you for your good information.
Hi Vivian,
I have really enjoyed receiving your emails everyday with all of the good “nuggets” of information. It is so helpful and very informative to me. Thanks so much for all of the research you have done and all of the time and effort you put into your wonderful work to help our “Save Our Bones” Community.
Sincerely
Yvonne Custalow
Our underground water in my district (Burdekin, Nth Qld. Aust) is called liquid gold. Guess what! Our local council is contemplating adding fluoride to the local water supply. I agree with you, Vivian, the use of fluoride should be the individual’s choice!
Quite amazing the timing of this sweepstakes and your recent articles regarding water. I’d already been looking into water distillers, so now, well I must admit, I hope somehow I win, but wish whoever does a healthier, happier drinking water supply.
One caveat requiring clarification: one blog said their electricity bill rose uncommonly with the use of a distiller. Fact or myth, please, Vivian?
Thanks for your ongoing, state-of-the-art health info you so generously provide us!!
Stephanie
After reading your article that distilled water was the best for you, I’d like to have my own distiller
The information about water has been one of the most helpful articles, or series of articles, as we all need to drink water. The information about countertop distillers was new to me and I plan to investigate further immediately. This kind of information is always appreciated, thank you, Daryl Hebert
Thank you for save our bones, aka save our lives!!!
We are moving soon and we will have well water, and we are in desperate need of some
Kind of water filtration system. I hope we can win a water system.
Thank you
Love the Waterwise distiller. We have one that is getting quite old and would love to have a new one! We have been drinking and cooking with distilled water for many years.
what great products, i live on $700 month am 74 and would love one because i want to live to be 100 and pure water is great why gov. has to put all this (crap) in our water is beyond me
Dear Vivan,
I would very much like to win the water distiller but I have a reverse osmois under my sink which you said was your number two choice and after reading some of the comments I feel in my heart that someone else could use it more than myself.Thank you for everything you are doing.
What a great idea! having the chance to win this wonderful water purifier which is good for our bones and our health. Thanks for your effort!!
I have enjoyed you website for quite a while now and have learned many new things for saving my bones and improving my overall general health. thank you for bringing such honest, helpful tips to me every week.
It makes sense to drink distilled water, and especially with a twist of lemon as Vivian suggests. As individuals, one has no control on the water from the tap.
Very good reading. Keep up the good work.
How do we get electrolyes in our water or do we get them from somewhere else?
We currently use a carbon filter at our sink and shower, but continue to look for the best health options available. Having overcome various health issues, we know the importance of hydration with the purest water we can obtain. Thank you, Vivian, for continuing to educate us in all areas! We desire knowledge that leads us to a life filled with vibrant health!
John and Rose
I’m excited for the opportunity to own my own distiller! Thank you so much.
kate.
I have the book Osteoporosis Reversal Program and I am so glad to have it. I was diagnosed with osteopenia. I am a filipina married to a caucasian. I am so healthy conscious but my husband is not so much. I told him that we need to drink a distilled water not a tap water, but he said that all the water we drink comes from tap water. I also want to have a shower filter but am hesitant to tell him because(for financial reason he gets mad). I have no job and he handles all the expenses. I really like your emails and your concern for us and our bones health. I am following some of youur recipes and exercise. Thank you very much for giving your time to educate us about our bones. More power and God bless. I wsould like to have this Waterwise countertop distiller.

Hi Vivian
I really love the idea of a filtered water system that sits on the counter in the kitchen.
I drink plenty of water but not the right kind soooo if I had the Waterwise 8800 Counter Top Distiller I KNOW it would help in my effort to Save My Bones
It is a valuable information
Glad to learn more from you from time to time. Thank you.
Well, I hardly every drink ANY water. Maybe having a distiller would cause me to change my ways.
I have well water but still there maybe things in my water
that are not good for me and family.
I appreciate and respect your work, research, and all the information you give us Vivian. Thank you. Would LOVE to have a water distiller. The water where I live is terrible.
All Best
I am purchasing distilled water but it is inconvenient. Would be great to win a neat coutertop unit. Thanks.
Barbara
this has been an interesting read. Thanks for your research on so many health issues. Diane
I drink distilled now and have the 5 gal. bottle delivered to my home.
Would like to win one if possible.
Thanks for your comments. I do have your book too.
Always a little bit of a skeptic. Is it really worth the $$$ investment plus the cost to operate?
I’m so glad I found you before I started taking the Fosamax that my doctor prescribed!
I too lookk forward to your articles. I have your saveourbones book and am trying to follow. I no longer take actonel which my doctor put me on about 3 mos ago. Had been on Didrical for about 9 years.
Noreen
I am a huge fan and follower. I am trying to reverse my osteoperoses naturally. Wish me luck and extra luck to win a free distiller.
My family has been using distilled water for at least 20 years. It tastes good alone, and makes coffee and tea taste better. Also, your teeth and your cups won’t get the stains on them!
Dear Vivian,
Just wanted to say thank you for your educational emails, you have been a big help to me with your advices and education about staying healthy.
Again, thank you!
Reine
I have learned so much about my bones from Vivian! I never realized that bones had an ongoing process of building, taking away and rebuilding. Thank you for all the valuable information. I am especially grateful for the information on “bone building” drugs that I ALMOST took. Thanks to Vivian’s information I DID NOT take the drugs that my doctor freely gave me! I look forward to each and every valuable email. Thank you.
this has been an interesting read. Thank-you for your research into relavant issues we face healthwise. Diane
Strong & supple & flexible bones
Support me every day,
I love my bones because they are
Healthy in every way.
Thanks Vivian
I have always been concern about the quality of water. I started testing my water about a year ago and always carry my own water with me. It would be great to have a distiller to try!
I recently had a second dexa scan which showed an improvement in my spine, but a slight decease in density in my hips – I am now -2.8 all round! I have never taken medication so this result is from the change in diet and exercise alone. Considering my life has been extremely stressful over the last couple of years I recon I’m not doing too badly. I do however await with interest my next scan which will be in 3 years time. Thank you Vivian for all your encouragement and informative emails/researches.
At last, quality information based upon true science, not revised in order to promote one’s agenda.
As I embark on a new venture, it now seems appropriate that I serve my guests beverages made from distilled water. Thank you
