Dear Vivian; Hi Thought you would like to know that I am using distilled water because of what you wrote. I had been using bottled drinking water for a few years because the taste of the chlorine in tap water makes me nauseous. The thought of a distiller briefly crossed my mind because every once in a while I will get a couple bottles of distilled water that just do not taste right, but I will never be able to purchase one as I live on SSI due to a spinal cord injury. Infact I occasionlly feel buying water is ecessive when I have access to all the water I want, and then I remember, OH Yeah Right, that water makes me Sick:-)!
I have learned so much from your e-mails! I have been on the Save our Bones program for about 2 years. My last Bone Density check, last Dec. was the worst it’s been, But, although I can stand I can’t walk, so with out weight bearing exercise I cannot build bone, Right? At least not to the extent of a person who can walk and exercise, but they’er healthy bones!

I am glad to learn that distilled water is good for your bones. Whenever I drink our local city water, I get a horrible urinary tract infection. My daughter has a distiller, not sure what brand, but when I drink the water from her machine it tastes really good. Keep up the good work sending out wonderful health information.

What a surprise it was to me to read your parts 1 and 2 about water and what is best. It rather overturns what I have believed to be true up til now. In fact i own a rather expensive filtration system called a mineral pot! I had been lead to believe that it was best to get water that had minerals in it as otherwise we’d probably end up short on minerals for our bones!
Oh dear! Now Ined to do a bit more research and thinking!
I’d love a distiller though. I use distilled water when making my own face creams etc and my rather unique home system using a pot and an upsidedown lid with ice to cool it is a far from efficient system and certainly doesn’t produce enough water for drinking!

I used distilled water and would love to win this water distiller. It seems more efficient than mine.
I do believe that these water filtration systems work. When I lived in Lynnwood, WA. the water system was very good except for the additional fluoride that was added. I used an under the sink filtration system that I purchased from Custom Pure a local company. Best investment I ever made. It not only helped my health but saved me a bundle of money on bottled water and it was a much greener way to go environmentally. I would be anxious to try the Water Wise system. Even if I don’t win the contest.
I started drinking distilled water. Takes a bit getting used to it but I will persist. Small price to pay for a safer water. I drink a lot of water so hope this will help with the problem of osteopenia.

The closest to pure water I have ever had was in Sun River, Oregon. Fresh distilled water is close.
I am SO glad I found your site. At this point, I’ve only been diagnosed with osteopenia, but I’ve told my Dr. I will never take based on the information you have provided. I am apparently very prone to feeling bad side effects from medications (3 to date that I know of), so more side effects from bisphosphonates would almost be guaranteed. I have recommended your website to several friends, with the hope that they may tell their friends, and so on. Please keep up the good work, we need all the help we can get from someone with your background.

I basically been fallowing the program, and my bone density improved. Yea!
I enjoy eating healthy. The immediate gain is that my mood is better, my sleep is deeper, and I awaken more refreshed. The longer term benefits of stronger bones and less likelihood of diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and cancer are incalculable.
I appreciate avoiding animal products, particularly because of the cruelty involved in factory farming.
Additionally avoiding processed foods is beneficial for the environment. Less packaging means less non-biodegradable waste.
I’m exercising with your Denzercise Program and you have enlightened me to eating more healthy to strengthen my bones. Thanks

Recently, we just watched the movie “TAPPED” which outlines the dangers and scams of bottled water over regular tap water and all the typical marketing and political BS that comes with the bottled water business.
After spending more than three years of health and diet research, including much common sense from the “alternative” medical gurus, it is evident that a preventative path is much better and less expensive in the long run than looking for that magical pill to fix our ailments.
From my research it is obvious that the importance of a good source of unadulterated water goes way beyond helping osteoporosis, and is a major key in leading to good health and in keeping degenerative diseases at bay, even cancer!!
Never mind the all the environmental issues and pollution from manufacturing, packaging and transportation of water products.
Last week In my research I came across your website, and since “everything happens for a reason”, it just makes sense that your product appeared out of the blue…screen!I
I believe you have really interesting products that we could test and use to educate family and friends as we continue to try and spread the good word.
PS: Do you have a filter system which works with a regular sink tap for the kitchen or bathroom, similar to your shower head?….I would like to brush my teeth without wondering about chlorine, fluoride and any other killers!

I have hypothyroidism, & the medicine the doctor perscribes can cause bone loss!! I would love to have a water purifier/distiller so that I would also be able to cook with distilled water. I know I would use it all the time. The gallon jugs are just too expensive to think about cooking with distilled water. I’m sure I’m not the only who has this problem. Thanks Vivian for all your help, support and concerns.

I’ve been trying to save up to buy one but just don’t seem to get there. Many at church were hoping for me get one as I promised them that I would share the water with them. ACcording to our plan, everyone provides 6 gallon jugs. I would fill 3 for them and they bring back the empties for 3 filled ones the following week. We’re praying.
We have a waterwise distiller, have used it for years, and love it! It is so old that we think it may soon die, so a new one would be wonderful!
