I'm thrilled to announce that the ‘Win a Free Distiller Sweepstakes' starts today. In Part 1 and Part 2 of Water Week I've explained why drinking distilled water is the best choice both for your bones and for your overall health.
What I didn't tell you, is that at home, all the water I drink and cook with comes from my Waterwise 8800 Countertop Distiller. I've done the research, and it's by far the best distiller on the market.
I only have to fill the stainless steel boiler with tap water, press the start button, and a few hours later, I have one gallon of the best tasting, purest, and fluoride-free water.
And today you have an opportunity to win the Waterwise 8800 Countertop Distiller, plus more great prizes… all valued at $510!
Here's How It Works
To enter, simply leave a comment below, along with your name and email. Feel free to write anything your heart desires :). Please leave your comment before Wednesday, September 12th, at 10:00pm ET.
My team and I will then randomly select one grand prize winner, and five runners-up. Stay tuned, because I will announce the winners on Thursday, September 13th. Best of luck!
- Grand Prize: One lucky winner will get the entire ‘Save Our Bones Exclusive Waterwise Package', which normally sells for $510.
- Runners-Up: Five lucky winners will receive the Waterwise BPA-Free Sports Bottle.
I really love being in control of my water with the Waterwise distiller, and I'm sure you will too!

Here's What You Can Win: The ‘Save Our Bones Exclusive Waterwise Package'
Waterwise® 8800 Countertop Distiller
You’ll love using the 8800. All you do is fill the stainless steel boiler with tap water, press the start button, and soon you’ll be enjoying the purest water possible. With the easy-to-use electronic monitor, you can program it before bed for that first cup of coffee or tea in the morning. After running a one-gallon cycle, keep the BPA-free carafe in the refrigerator for a chilled glass of pure refreshment—whenever you want. Fill trays for perfectly clear and pure icecubes. Even take the 8800 along on your next trip. The portable, programmable 8800 is ready when you are!
The Waterwise 8800 combines steam distillation with carbon post-filtration, resulting in optimum water purity. The electronic monitor with its multifunction LCD readout even alerts you when it’s time to change the filter!
Sells for: $399
Deluxe Showerwise® Shower Filtration System
You’ll enjoy softer skin, healthier scalp and shinier hair after a Showerwise shower. Why? Because chlorine, commonly used to disinfect tap water, can make your skin dry, sensitive, flaky and itchy. It irritates your eyes and makes your hair dry and unmanageable. Worse yet, chlorine and chlorine by-products aggravate symptoms for many asthma, allergy, sinus and emphysema sufferers.
You may be shocked to know that your body can absorb more chlorine in a 1-minute shower than from drinking 8 glasses of the same water. But you can relax… chlorine is reduced by 95% with Showerwise. Also reduced is iron, lead, mercury and hydrogen sulfide. Bacterial, fungal and mildew growth are effectively inhibited.
Showerwise’s patented KDF-55 and Chlorgon filter material performs best in warm or hot water, unlike ordinary carbon filters that are effective in cold only. And Showerwise contains 50% more material for a longer, more effective lifetime than most filters, typically lasting 12-18 months!
Sells for: $69
6-Pack Carbon Filter Bags – 1 Year Supply
Carbon filtration enhances taste and purity by adsorption, aeration and degasification. Replace every 2-months or after 60-80 gallons distilled, whichever comes first. One bag drops into the filter compartment of the carafe lid.
Sells for: $36
Waterwise® BPA-Free Sports Bottle
Waterwise BPA-Free bottles are lightweight, reuseable and ensure that every drop of distilled water stays pure. They’re extremely durable and simple to clean (just use peroxide and water or baking soda and water, then rinse).
Sells for: $6

Sounds great.
Thank you, Dr. Goldschmidt, for all the wonderful information you share with us. I am now eating healthier and feeling much better about my taking control of my health.
I find your site and ‘save our bones’ program practical and easy to follow! As a fellow biochemist who has worked for years in the pharma industry I didn’t want to be pumping my body full of drugs for no reason upon osteopenia dx last november!
Thanks Vivian

I have been looking for the ideal water filter and as I am very aware of
keeping myself healthy at 84, this filter answers all the criteria I need to
supply me with the best drinking water and it looks so easy to use. To win this would be the best thing I can imagine as I cannot afford to buy it.
What a star Vivian is she gives us great tips and so much useful information for our bones and this water filter is the next GREAT thing she has found for Ifollow the programme and it’s so easy
I am always looking for the best good-tasting water — this one sounds like it’s among the best. I might be lucky and win.
I really enjoy learning a lot about these topics of water and osteoporosis problems and solutions. Thank you very much for helping me and all the women out there. I wish I could afford to get this water distiller, but I am on a tight budget, due to my disability and unemployment. Wish me luck …
Great program. I’d love to win that free distiller.
Thanks

This sounds like a very good idea , but it could be a little to expensive for me as we are on pension.
This sonds Logical and i think i love you for this !
good nutrition starts with clean healthy water
I have recently moved to Roscommon in Ireland and was horrified to be notified I should not drink tap water without boiling it first! I am boiling it and then filtering through a Brita filter jug and the water still even looks dirty and leaves a residue if left standing.I cannot install a permanent filter as a lot of people have done ,as I am renting. My husband and I have had gut problems since we arrived here. This filter seems ideal. Just one question, isn’t distelled water devoid of minerals?Forgive me if you have already explained this and I have forgotten!!
Thank you for all your daily information.

I deal with quadriplegia, the result of an automobile incident. Seventeen years post, I have moved my bones out of osteoporosis into osteopenia with the bone health awareness.
The water articles were very informative…thanks so much.
Thanks given for all the informative articles
Have been troubled about watedr purity for some time but get confused about so many different water purifiers.Having so much information about your recommended product makes it so much easier to understand so will have a go at the sweepstake for who knows – I may even win. !
I really need one of these!! I fractured my femur a couple of year’s ago and I have osteoporosis. I am over 60 and raising my now 3 year old granddaughter.
Please help me and this baby get on the road to great and better health and no longer have to haul bottle water forever.
I would like to get her healthy also and possibly get her into drinking more water because she’s always constipated.
Save Our Bone’s Please!!! Thank you and may God Bless everything you’re doing to help folks to become healthy and to protect us from the enviroment and it’s filth.
Respectfully, a loving mother. Ann
Hi,
I have just moved to a new place with my 3 months old baby. I have to boiled the water everyday almost 5 times to make milk for my baby due to the weird colour & funny smell. After discovering your on-line messages on the distiller, it makes the process so much faster & convenient. Hope to win it and share it with my family.
Thanks for sharing this amazing tool with the world as water is the most important that we need to consume.
I add trace minerals to distilled water…was wondering what your opinion is of that, and if you recommend a certain brand of trace mineral drops…thanks, Viv
This looks great and also saves the money that would otherwise been spent on bottled water. Along with the benefits of minimising materials for a sustainable planet.
Thank you for the information on water and the explanations of what our choices can be for improving the quality of the water we drink.
wow great news to hear–I drink 6 botlles of water a day–as I buy my water all the time. I do a lot of road traveling–even though I live on an island–when I read about this product I was so amazed–and yes just to think of the monies I could save. I could bring this water in some thermos bottles to my job and I would be able to get the word out about my water and how I know this water is good for me and my health–I am always looking and listening to new ways to improve my health–and here is one I won’t forget–especially if I win this contest. Yea
Thanks for lsitening

Thank you for all the valuable healthy information!
I have been using the Brita filtration system for over 10 years.
It appears that your 8800 Distiller is an improvement over Brita.
I have severe osteoporosis. Tried 3 different drugs which have all left me sick, I still have jaw pain after 2 years. Also stomach pain. I have been trying to drink water but I am addicted to diet coke. Winning this would help me out so much. It is the boost I need to totally commit to your program. Last month I bought the pills you offer and have been diligently taking them. In one year I will return to the doctor to have my bone scan. I hope the Doctor and myself are pleasantly surprised.

Not only would this save you money but it gets really tiring to purchase water and carry it home.
How does this compare with a KDF filter with additional fluoride filter. What is the difference in the end product ie water?
Water, water, everywhere…
I use filtered water now but would really be interested in trying distilled water.
As always useful and practical information. It’s very much appreciated. Thank you!
I have always wanted to try a water distiller. I have heard that they are the best way to treat your water. Very excited!
Having had breast cancer in 2006 and osteoporosis diagnosed earlier I consider filtered water a necessity to remove impurities. My bone density has improved and is holding its own. Your book and website has helped.
How ironic that my RO system literally blew out today. Water, water everywhere! I will keep my fingers and toes crossed on this one! The systems sounds amazing. Be well…
filtered water is so important to health.. I am always shocked to discover that some people still actually
consume tap water
Thank you for inspiring others with your story your articles and your enthusiasm. Best Wishes.
I filter water now and really notice the difference in taste.
Dear Vivian
I read allways your info, because it is very important for my health.
There is so much desinformation that it is hard to find something that is
trully good for bone health. Keep doing the good work. Thanks!

If only the whole world would use this product and how many less plastic bottles would be used.

Hi Vivian,

It trully is a blessing.
God bless you.
Have you updated your website with a vitamin pill you’d recommend? I live in Australia, but last time I looked, you didn’t have a recommendation for a vitamin pill. I’m not taking anything at the moment, other than D and krill oil, and calcium powder (bioavailable) and chondroitin, glucosamine and msm (those 3 together in a powder). I have written out your recommendations for the actual vitamins and dosages for each (from the Save Our Bones book) and I carry them with me in case I wander into a health shop or pharmacist so I can look for a vitamin that fits your recommendations. But to date, I haven’t made that effort! I wondered how your efforts on making a vitamin recommendation are going?
