I'm thrilled to announce that the ‘Win a Free Distiller Sweepstakes' starts today. In Part 1 and Part 2 of Water Week I've explained why drinking distilled water is the best choice both for your bones and for your overall health.
What I didn't tell you, is that at home, all the water I drink and cook with comes from my Waterwise 8800 Countertop Distiller. I've done the research, and it's by far the best distiller on the market.
I only have to fill the stainless steel boiler with tap water, press the start button, and a few hours later, I have one gallon of the best tasting, purest, and fluoride-free water.
And today you have an opportunity to win the Waterwise 8800 Countertop Distiller, plus more great prizes… all valued at $510!
Here's How It Works
To enter, simply leave a comment below, along with your name and email. Feel free to write anything your heart desires :). Please leave your comment before Wednesday, September 12th, at 10:00pm ET.
My team and I will then randomly select one grand prize winner, and five runners-up. Stay tuned, because I will announce the winners on Thursday, September 13th. Best of luck!
- Grand Prize: One lucky winner will get the entire ‘Save Our Bones Exclusive Waterwise Package', which normally sells for $510.

Here's What You Can Win: The ‘Save Our Bones Exclusive Waterwise Package'
Waterwise® 8800 Countertop Distiller
You’ll love using the 8800. All you do is fill the stainless steel boiler with tap water, press the start button, and soon you’ll be enjoying the purest water possible. With the easy-to-use electronic monitor, you can program it before bed for that first cup of coffee or tea in the morning. After running a one-gallon cycle, keep the BPA-free carafe in the refrigerator for a chilled glass of pure refreshment—whenever you want. Fill trays for perfectly clear and pure icecubes. Even take the 8800 along on your next trip. The portable, programmable 8800 is ready when you are!
The Waterwise 8800 combines steam distillation with carbon post-filtration, resulting in optimum water purity. The electronic monitor with its multifunction LCD readout even alerts you when it’s time to change the filter!
Sells for: $399
Deluxe Showerwise® Shower Filtration System
You’ll enjoy softer skin, healthier scalp and shinier hair after a Showerwise shower. Why? Because chlorine, commonly used to disinfect tap water, can make your skin dry, sensitive, flaky and itchy. It irritates your eyes and makes your hair dry and unmanageable. Worse yet, chlorine and chlorine by-products aggravate symptoms for many asthma, allergy, sinus and emphysema sufferers.
You may be shocked to know that your body can absorb more chlorine in a 1-minute shower than from drinking 8 glasses of the same water. But you can relax… chlorine is reduced by 95% with Showerwise. Also reduced is iron, lead, mercury and hydrogen sulfide. Bacterial, fungal and mildew growth are effectively inhibited.
Showerwise’s patented KDF-55 and Chlorgon filter material performs best in warm or hot water, unlike ordinary carbon filters that are effective in cold only. And Showerwise contains 50% more material for a longer, more effective lifetime than most filters, typically lasting 12-18 months!
Sells for: $69
6-Pack Carbon Filter Bags – 1 Year Supply
Carbon filtration enhances taste and purity by adsorption, aeration and degasification. Replace every 2-months or after 60-80 gallons distilled, whichever comes first. One bag drops into the filter compartment of the carafe lid.
Sells for: $36
Waterwise® BPA-Free Sports Bottle
Waterwise BPA-Free bottles are lightweight, reuseable and ensure that every drop of distilled water stays pure. They’re extremely durable and simple to clean (just use peroxide and water or baking soda and water, then rinse).
Sells for: $6

We have bought bottle water for over 30 years. We have shallow well water. I do not mind cooking or bathing with it, but I like my coffee and tea not to have a film on it. Also did not want flouride in my kids (10 of them).
just to let you know how much i enjoyed reading all the articles i’ve read so far. thank you for doing the research and giving me all the good info to make a wise decision before purchasing any products. Have a Happy days!
Thank you so much for all the information. As a full time care giver, I am trying to stay healthy and keep Mom healthy as well. I want to avoid the age related diseases.

Oh what a deal that if I could win this my three grandchildren and I would have great water. They are learning ever so much from all the emails that I receive from you. You have been a blessing to me and my family. Thank you for all you do for everyone.
I am having trouble finding the bottled water I like.
It has a lot of infomations and thus makes one more knowledgeable about health. Keep up the good work. Thanks.
I really do appreciate the educated and informed information that you so generously pass on to your “Save our Bones” community. I fondly refer to you as “Viv the Bone Lady”. You are truly a life saver, a life enhancer! Thank you.
I was raised to believe that my body was less than acceptable, much less worth receiving love. I learned early to work hard to gain acceptance. This erroneous belief led to a decades long life of hard physical work and self hatred, which translated to not taking the time to take care of myself which has now, at 56 years old, led me to become a “broken down” tired woman. I have, however, been awakened to the fact that I am a worthwhile human being, worthy of love, being loved, and loving myself. So, at the tender years of 56, I am learning HOW to help myself, and to overcome many of the illnesses that have come from years of hard physical labor, overwork, stress, and ignoring my own needs. NO MORE! I am taking care of Debra, and I give Ms. Vivian Goldschmidt and her “Save our Bones” website and book (which I’ve purchased) a great deal of credit for incouraging me to step up to the plate and take charge of my health and my bones (I have osteoporosis,as well) and I send her BIG HUGS. I will definitely save up for this countertop distiller and incorporate it into my new life! Thank you so much!
I love the Save Your Bones Progam. I try to incorporate it into my life. I am now very concious as to whether food is alkaline or acidic. I try to follow the program and eat at least 75% alkaline. I love to read her updates in emails. Thank you Vivian!! Gayle Tutt
Since I can no longer provide bottled water for my daughter who is in a wheel chair, I have been looking for an alternative. Her doctor’s tests show an increase in some chemicals. There are so many treatment options that I didn’t know which would be best. This system sounds like it would be good for her.
I have looked at your full line of products and I am very impressed. I have never really thought that much about the water that we drink. This looks like a great way to have clean healthy water all the time.
Wow! The chart showing what it removes from the water compared to other types of water purifiers is amazing!
I do purchase Reverse Osmosis water at my grocery store but the machine breaks down for days and they don’t always have water when it’s time for my visit to the store. I really would like to win this so I woould always have good water at my finger tips.

I have had a Waterwise distiller and have just about worn it out. It is the best small appliance I have ever owned, and I am 70 years old. I really want another one, but have put it off because of the cost. I bought distilled water and carried it home from the store for years and years. I do not want to have to go back to that. The distiller is wonderful! Thanks
My refrigator has a water dispenser, with a filter. Since I have well water, live in the farm area,I don’t know what chemicals the farmers spray for there crops. I need to filter my water. Recovering from a broken femur after taking Boniva, so I drink a lot of water, and have been following your advice. Thanks
I have “Save our Bones” – heed all your advice and would love to win this most needed distiller. I have also sent this book to my daughter. Keep up the good work. We need you.
Thank you Vivian for this information on water. I know the quality of water affects our bones but was never sure how to spend my money to get the best and healthiest water. You have just saved me from putting in an expensive water treatment device.I have been a part of SaveOurBones for two years and I have stopped the bone loss. Thank you caring so much about women’s health, keeping up with the latest medical advance as well as the latest mainstream medical misinformation. Thanks for being so trustworthy.
Sincerely,
Lorraine Huang
I so enjoy your emails….I’m learning so much from you. I especially am thrilled with the plethora of information available regarding the mis-diagnosis of osteoporosis. Am currently doing battle with my rheumatologist and endocrinologist regarding beginning the use of FORTEO to treat my “osteoporosis”. Thank God for a primary care physician who has supported my reluctance to take any drugs to “maybe” prevent further falls. Thanks to your “Save Our Bones” program, I am learning how to improve bone health WITHOUT potent drugs. Thank you so much for all you do.
I’d certainly make use of the distiller….should I be chosen to receive it. I’m a retired senior citizen (79 years old this year), living on a limited income, still living in my home of 50 years….with very little left over each month for “luxuries”.
God bless you for the work you’re doing!
Hi Vivian.
As consumers we take so much on trust from our food producers and water suppliers. I am a firm believer in that the most beneficial foodstuffs for our body come by the route of least interference of mother nature by man. We do not require artificial or modified substitutes of natural products. Big business, whether in food or drug production which masquerade as our partner in health, unfortunately prioritise the bottom line which in many cases is at odds with the health of mankind. This great water distiller returns water to its natural components making it a real winner for the body.
A water distiller would be a great addition to a healthy bone intensifying lifestyle.
Since Water is so important to our health, including bones, I am interested to join the sweepstake for a distiller.
Great information for us all!
I have really appreciated the information you gave us in the two articles on water.
It not only taught me the way i need to go is with distilled water and the system that you use, it also taught me the problems with the filter systems and what is ‘left behind.
Thank you for sharing this incormation and helping me to find the direction to go.
Wayne
Saving my bones and saving my water is my goal.
Your articles have been very good for learning about how to protect
our bones and I am helping my sister with some of your knowledge; she
has suffer for many years from ostheoporosis. Also this machine for the water is really great to drink pure water and save money. Thank you
Vivian for all your information.!
I so appreciate Vivian’s advice over the years! Because of her, I am off fosamax and not worrying about osteoporosis. Her program plus hiking in the mountains every week has helped put me on a healthy track for life!
Thank you so much, Vivian!
Hi
Thank you for all the good advice you give us free.
I live in a small town where the water turns things rusty and every so often the announce for us to boil the water.
I’d love to win.
joni
I have been following you and getting your wonderful information for years. Thank you for all you do to make us more aware of what’s out there and helping us take charge of our health and bodies. God bless.
Been following your advice and program for a year with positive results. My last scan, a month ago, showed so much improvement that no longer are doctors suggesting medication for me. Would love to win a distiller, after reading your water week series, I was reminded just how important our drinking water source really is to everyone.
As there is no way I can afford this package as a widow on a strict pension, I would be so excited to win this contest. I know that the water we intake is maybe the most important key to our health. I am lucky to own land with a deep water spring on it and I now transport the water 150 miles to my home in 5 gallon plastic bottles. 1 – I don’t think the plastic bottles are the safest options but there is no way I would lift glass with 50 lb. of water. 2 – I don’t know how much longer (as an elderly person) I can lift the containers I now bring. This is an expensive process as I have to pay gas both ways on the trip and sometimes have to spend the night. I would surely love to win!
My tap water actually smells like chemicals, that is why I always drink and cook bottled water.
I like reading all the things we can do for our bones and I am trying to eat the foods that give the calcium and other minerals we need. I also like your exercise articles. Keep them coming.
For the past few years I have been letting my drinking water set for a few hours to outgas some of the halides and other dissolved gasses. I also do this with water I use to water my plants. Not only is iodine in short supply in our diet, it looses out in competition with fluorine, chlorine, and bromine which seem to be in abundance these days.
I live in Portland OR and today they will vote on adding flouride to our drinking water. All the big wigs are for it,the citizens don’t count. Since I have osteoporous I need a filter system for filtering the water. Thank you very much for considering me…..
I really enjoyed your Water articles. They made me think again about our tap water, which is top rated but still has fluoride etc in it. Will be drinking distilled water from now on, but would love to have my own distiller! Thanks for all your good advice, Charleen
I could write a paragraph but simply want to say “Thank You” for caring and sharing.
Since water makes up so great a portion of our bodies, it only makes sense to drink the purest water that is availabe…minus chlorine, floride, and other contaminents.
The person who wins this will be very blessed. Thank you for the opportunity, Vivian, from all of us. I hope the company donated this for your event. It surely will sell many units to the non-winners! And thank you Vivian for all the helpfull information, research and encourangement to those of us who want healthy bodies (I know the goal is healthy bones and that the whole body benefits from your healthy eating plan and exersize routine.)
Where I live we are told that the levels of arsenic are “acceptable”. Really?! Love the ideas we get from this site.
Water is the most important commodity that we have, it would be wonderful to have water that is “worry free” and that we can be confident that it is pure and good for us to drink. I have read so many horror stories regarding water and it would be simply marvellous to have this peace of mind! Thank you.
I had a Water Wise Countertop Distiller about 8-10 years ago. Then somehow it got broken (I now forget how), and I have not replaced it. I miss the taste of the water. Because of expense, I have not purchased another one, but then one cannot put a price on one’s health. My grandson who was about 12 at the time said he did not know water could taste differently until he tasted my distilled water. He thought the taste was great. I think I still have a few filters in my garage, and I haven’t had the heart to dispose of them. Hopefully I’ll be able to replace my Water Wise with a new one.
Would love to win this prize… Just moved into a new apartment.
Would LOVE to have water as pure as it’s meant to be !!
Your e-mails are very informative and thought-provoking.
Thanks for your great research work and letting us know what’s what! That distiller looks like a really cool appliance.
I appreciate all the useful tips you have given us in the past and present.
I have already noticed an improvement in my health while following the Save the Bones program. Thank you!!
I do filter my ice maker water and drinking water but I do not know if this is sufficient. Doris
