Revolutionary! World Congress On Osteoporosis Recommends First Non-Pharmaceutical Bone-Health Protocol - Save Our Bones

Today I’m bringing you some truly revolutionary news. For the first time ever, scientists at the World Congress on Osteoporosis, agreed on a drug-free method for “treating” osteoporosis.

It’s called osteogenic loading, and it’s based on principles established by the Osteoporosis Reversal Program from the get-go.

So while the mainstream hails this as something new, the breakthrough development is that the Medical Establishment is finally coming around to admitting the useless nature of osteoporosis drugs.

I’ll explain…

What Is The World Congress On Osteoporosis?

Last week, 4,500 scientists convened in Milan, Italy for the 17th World Congress on Osteoporosis (WCO). According to the WCO website, it has become the “largest educational event and most vibrant clinical research forum for osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and musculoskeletal diseases in Europe.”1

Obviously, this is a significant event in itself. But the amazing part is what they “discovered” this year.

The Search For The Perfect Osteoporosis “Cure”

Because mainstream medicine considers osteoporosis a disease, symposiums and educational events are aimed at finding a cure that involves the quest for the “right” drug.

Unfortunately, osteoporosis drugs cause more harm than good. Even when they appear to “work,” the apparent increase in bone density that may occur after a course of drugs is simply the result of the drug’s tampering with healthy bone remodeling.

The most popular osteoporosis drugs stop bone from shedding bone cells. Ostensibly, this seems like a good way to prevent loss of bone density; but what this approach fails to take into account is that the shedding of old bone cells is essential for new, healthy bone cells to take their place. Forcing the bone to “hold on” to worn-out bone that should be shed is a recipe for thick, brittle bones that appear denser in DXA scans, but are more prone to fracture.

Plus these drugs have awful side effects. In fact, no osteoporosis drug currently in the market is safe.

Yet this has not stopped Big Pharma and Mainstream Medicine from trying to come up with a miracle drug for osteoporosis…until now. Fortunately, the tide might be turning.

The 2015 WCO Offers Hope Of A Drug-Free Approach Going Mainstream

This is the first time ever that the WCO, which has been meeting for 17 years, has focused on a non-pharmaceutical protocol for osteoporosis.

The topic they explored was not supplementation with calcium (as you might expect), but rather, the effects of high-impact and low-impact stimulus on bone development (in other words, exercise!).

Specifically, the scientists studied the effects of the recently-developed bioDensity system, a large, rather elaborate device that positions the body to receive compressive force in key areas of the skeleton. In accordance with Wolff’s Law, a familiar concept to Savers, the bioDensity system stimulates osteoblast activity via pressure exerted on bone through the following exercises: the seated chest press, leg press, core pull, and standing vertical lift.

Intended to be practiced once a week, the bioDensity approach is considered a “breakthrough” concept in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis. Because the load is based on body weight, the participant controls the amount of load based on comfort level, lowering injury risk considerably.

Amazingly, This “New” Concept Is Heralded By Scientists At The WCO

Have you talked to your doctor about the role of exercise in increasing bone density? Chances are, he or she told you that exercise is good, but it’s not enough (so you still need to take osteoporosis drugs).

As the concepts of osteogenic loading catch on, you may find that doctors will become more supportive of regular exercise in reversing and preventing osteoporosis. This was such a “hot topic” at the WCO that it may infiltrate the mainstream.

What Is “Osteogenic Loading”?

While the terminology may be new to you, if you’ve been following the Osteoporosis Reversal Program and practicing the Densercise™ Epidensity Training System, you’ll realize that you’re quite familiar with it.

Osteogenic loading simply refers to the stimulation of new bone growth and absorption of minerals via axial loading of the skeleton. Axial loading is the application of force along the longitudinal body axis (the top of your head through your hips).

The Densercise™ Epidensity Training System Offers The Same Benefits (And More!) In The Convenience Of Your Own Home

The cost of bioDensity can range anywhere from $25-50 per session and yearly memberships start at around $1,000. Therefore, it may not be a convenient option for everyone.

The good news is that to reap the benefits of osteogenic loading you don't need massive machinery and to make an inconvenient trip. The same benefits – and more – can be obtained with the Densercise™ Epidensity System.

The concept of an exercise program specifically designed to improve bone density has been a part of the Save Our Bones philosophy since its inception in 2007. Once again, Savers are ahead of the curve, while 4,500 scientists think they’ve just made a breakthrough discovery!

Densercise™ is highly customizable; your comfort level determines the amount of load, just like the bioDensity method.

Densercise™ offers all the benefits of the bioDensity system, plus more. For example, with Densercise™:

  • You can exercise in the comfort of your own home (or the place of your choosing).
  • No special equipment is required – no huge machines that have to be operated and overseen by medical professionals.
  • It involves a one-time investment of $27 (compared to an ongoing fee of $25-50 per session for bioDensity).
  • You can Densercise™ as often as you like, not just once a week, thus increasing benefits (3 times a week for 15 minutes is the recommended frequency).
  • Densercise™ contains a wide variety of moves, so you will increase bone density all over.
  • “Densercises” promote balance, improved posture, more energy, better muscle tone, and a myriad of benefits in addition to just increasing bone density.

Now, more than ever, it’s time to be proud that you're part of the bone health revolution!

This is hardly new science……they have known for years that weight work and stressing the bone, builds bone. A baseball pitcher’s arm has heavier bone than his non-pitching arm……learned that 40 years ago. This is just another way to get people’s money…..

About a year and a half ago I went to a local chiropractor who specialized in back pain. He advertised in our local paper biodensity. I signed up for this program and proceeded to come in once a week. I saw graphs showing my loading progess. I thought this would help my bone density. I was wrong. It simply was not enough. My dexa showed my wrist lost significant ground, hip and spine also lost some. This doctor told me everyone in the program was improving. Not me. I stopped wasting my money and time and kicked into a higher gear of weight bearing exercise and aerobic exercise. My next decade is in July and I feel confident I will see results. I am 57 years old and I feel great.

Many variations of the weight bearing stimulation of osteoclasts for bone health have been known and used in the classes originated by Israeli teacher, Ruthy Alon, for decades now. Her work has been spreading throughout the world and now many teachers are certified to teach “Bones For Life” classes and all their variations. Please see her sites: ww.bonesforlife.com

More great news! I am, officially, off Prolia as of yesterday and feeling even better about my decision. I do my exercising daily and look forward to the weekend challenges. I am a proud member of the Osteoporosis Reversal Program. Thanks Vivian!

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

      Encouraging news, Lana!

  5. Pearl

That’s wonderful news Vivian, sounds like someone must of been reading your website.

  6. Georgiann

Vivian – what is your advice on taking calcium supplements? I am 63 and have been taking a very good calcium-magnesium + other minerals and D supplement but have been reading about calcium supplements and brain lesion side effects. Thank you.

    • Phyllis

Have you ever heard of eggshell calcium. If so what do you think of it

  7. Helen

This is a stand-up (straight and tall, thanks to you!) salute for all your efforts, and the best validation you could receive that Save Our Bones has calmly and compassionately revolutionized the treatment for osteoporosis and all things related to bone health. I’m raising a glass of organic apple juice in a stemmed glass to honor you for your tireless dedication and cathedral-building patience. Bravo!

I couldn’t have said it better. Thanks Vivian.

      • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

        You are most welcome, Patsy!

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

      Cheers, Helen! And thank you!

  8. Marion

This is very exciting news. I copied the Densercise exercises and have a little book that is easy to use.

  9. robert

Is this information just online or can I get it in book form or preferably dvd?

    • Customer Support

The Densercise materials are delivered digitally as PDF files, and the demonstration videos (where Vivian briefly demonstrates each move) are intended to be viewed online.

  10. Jordan

Vivian, Thank you so much for wading through 400+ pages of abstracts so we don’t have to! Reading your blog is so much easier than spending the time to hunt down this information. Thanks!

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

Glad to hear it, Jordan! Thank you for being part of the community.

  11. Diane

This is great news, if it’s recommended maybe eventually insurance might cover this, for now I do my best with the exercises. I did find when I used a gym the leg press did increase my pelvic/ femur density but I don’t have one now, could you tell me which of your exercises is the best substitute so I can be sure and never skip that one.

    • Customer Support

Diane, are a couple of Weekend Challenges you might like:

      https://saveourbones.com/weekend-challenge-all-in-one-bone-building-squat/

      https://saveourbones.com/weekend-challenge-the-femur-strengthener-plus/

Using the Search feature, you can look for Weekend Challenges that address the areas you are most concerned about. If you have Densercise, you can search the ebook similarly.

      • Sharon cunningham

I am 71 yrs. old ,I now feel a young 50. I do my exercises 3 times a week and sometimes do a few on weekends . I have lost weight and feel great. Even with all this my Dr. still argues in favor of annual injections. NO WAY. I am continuing with this program no matter what he thinks!!!

        • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

Good for you, Sharon! Stick to your convictions and keep up the great work.

  12. brenda

Yes, please give a link to the conference’s paper/abstract. It makes it much more believable and helps when we have to stand up to medical professionals who only believe other medicos and their findings. If it’s too vague (“I read it on line”) it’s not in their language. Please provide the link to help all of us.

    Thanks!

    • p

she did give a link- its right under where she recommends to get or use densercise. there is a link. obviously you didn’t see it. It says references–& gives the link.

  13. CL

I found this news article on osteogenic loading at the WCO 2015:
Non-Drug Protocol for Building Bone Density Expected to Steal Spotlight at World Congress on Osteoporosis

  14. june

Just hours before I read above Email from you I threw away all Osteoporosis material held over past 25 years when I first visited an Osteoporosis Doctor and was advised to take medication.

Instead I followed your methods and food regimes I have taken no medications, kept up the exercise, also gym, Tai Chi and plenty walking. I have given others your address in Australia. A very big “thank you” .

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

You are welcome, June, but I always maintain that you should thank yourself first! You made the decision to manage your osteoporosis without drugs, and you followed through with the bone-healthy regimen! And of course, you are also reaping the rewards. Keep it up!

      • Faith

I took Fosamax for 10 years, then Prolia for 5 years. My doctors had scared me so much that I was afraid to disobey them. For a year now I have been off all meds (the Prolia completely disabled me with severe pain) and on your program. My doctor is furious and continues to insist that I find a suitable drug. It is not easy dealing with the medical establishment but I am determined to stick up for myself and my own health. Thank you for making that possible.

        • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

Have courage, Faith! You have seen the truth about osteoporosis drugs, and nothing can stop you from pursuing a drug-free osteoporosis protocol!

  15. Geoff

I agree with Sigrid, let’s see this information so we can make up our own minds.

  16. Kimberly Heimerl

Wow, after reading these comments, I really love my doctor. I knew what she would say when I took the test results to her; she is a doctor trained by doctors who know one thing: medicine. I listened politely, came home, and researched the web for alternatives. Save Our Bones won me over. When I told my doctor, she was excited that I found such a healthy alternative! Yep, I love my doctor.

    • Pearl

My Doctors have never pressured me either, they just don’t mention it.

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

      Hi Kimberly,
Doctors with that kind of mindset are treasures indeed! It’s good news that you have such a supportive doctor to work with.

  17. yvonne

Thank you for this uplifting and encouraging information.
However, I would also appreciate a direct reference to the paper/abstract
which this information comes from. My doctor and medical friends are
putting me under pressure to take the drugs and the information you have provided
will be extremely helpful to me in my next medical review.

  18. Jenny

Hello Vivienne, When will you put these Density Exercises on disc so that we can use them when we can’t use the computer? I already purchased the ebook but would find a disc much more practical.

    • Sally

I agree, I would really like to see the Exercises on a DVD that I can watch on my TV. It would be so much easier to view and I would be so much more likely to participate!
      Please?!

  19. Julie

My new doctor was not impressed that I won’t take drugs for osteoporosis. She said ‘so you prefer to take the risk?” I told her I thought the drugs were more of a risk!

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

      Great response, Julie!

  20. M Morris

    Hi Vivienne
I would also appreciate the link as I need to substantiate with evidence so that I can have this when I visit the specialist who, as a result of my DEXA scan measurements and bone turnover marker figures, is insisting I take drugs.

  21. sigrid

Very interesting what you report about the World Congress on Osteoporosis. I was disappointed to note that there were no links to first hand information about what you say the world congress was “heralding.” Please give us at least the number of the abstract you read, or at least more specific information so we can get firsthand information.

    • Customer Support

Sigrid, under “References” you’ll see a link to the WCO page. 🙂 Here it is again in case you missed it:

      https://www.wco-iof-esceo.org/

      • Susan

This link is a link to the conference itself (ie.,the registration, program, etc.) It is not a link to the results of the symposium that is cited. I would think that you would have actually looked at the link before using this as a response for the request for the abstract. Geez!

        • Duane

Although I am sure you provide good advice in regards to nutrition and lifestyle you know nothing about Osteogenic loading. All you are attempting to do is lure people to your Densercise program. Reality is there is no way to reproduce what Biodensity does at home. The machine axial loads the skeletal system at multiples of body weight (MOB) at predetermined body position to stimulate bone regeneration through a process defined by the Mechanostat Theory. I am no longer affiliated with Biodensity but I once was. Please do your own research people on the findings of the study.

Simply go to Biodensity’s site and look it up. Sure they have it on there.

Shame on you for misleading people.
