6 Amazing Things That Happen When You Have A Smoothie Every Day

Today is World Osteoporosis Day, so it’s the perfect time to share with you the incredible health benefits you can reap from drinking an alkalizing, delicious smoothie every day.

In today’s post, you’ll learn about these benefits and I also give you one of my favorite smoothie recipes. Plus I’ve got a special offer I can’t wait to share with you!

Let’s get started with the amazing benefits of daily smoothies.

1. Your Cravings For Bone-Damaging, Sugary Foods Will Disappear

Cravings, especially sugar cravings, can have various causes. Sometimes, a craving denotes a need for a nutrient or substance that has nothing to do with the food you’re craving (sugar cravings can indicate thirst, for example).

Staving off cravings is important for bone health, because more often than not, you’ll crave simple carbs or sugary foods that damage your bones. Smoothies help you feel more energetic (sometimes tiredness brings on the desire for sugar), and they pack so many nutrients into one cup that you’re much less likely to have a deficiency that could bring on a craving. They also contribute to hydration and feeling full, which brings us to the next point.

2. You’ll Feel More Satisfied And Experience Less Hunger And Thirst

Because smoothies are full of fiber and liquid from raw foods, they fill you up and hydrate your body. Staying hydrated is important for rejuvenating bones, yet it’s often overlooked in the fight against osteoporosis. In fact, hydration is often overlooked in general – many people are dehydrated and not even aware of it.

But Savers are aware that hydration is a vital component of bone health, and pure water is a crucial element on the Program. Without adequate fluid, every body process suffers; after all, every cell depends on water to some degree. Proper kidney function, weight regulation, joint pain, stress, mood, and bone remodeling (to name a few) are all negatively affected by a lack of water.

So getting into the habit of drinking a daily smoothie is a great way to boost fluid intake and give your bones the water and nutrients they need to renew themselves.

3. Your Digestion Will Improve

Digestive problems are disturbingly common in Western society. Prescriptions for antacids, laxatives, and other digestive “aids” are at record high numbers. The proton pump inhibitor Nexium was the third most prescribed drug in the U.S. between July 2013 and June 2014.

Such drugs damage bones by preventing the absorption of vital nutrients, and they actually increase fracture risk.

These sobering facts should inspire us to make improvements in our daily diets, including the regular consumption of smoothies, which help digestion in various ways:

The raw food used in smoothies is full of enzymes that prevent putrefaction of food, which can produce toxins that damage your bones.

Smoothies have lots of plant fiber that helps keep digestion regular and the bowels moving.

Smoothies are easy to digest, especially because processing in the blender breaks the fiber into very small pieces. This makes smoothies a good option for those who have problems with nutrient absorption or other digestive challenges.

4. You’ll Boost Your Intake Of Foundation Foods And Foundation Supplements

A healthful smoothie can be thought of as a highly bioavailable liquid multivitamin and multi-mineral. If you’re on the Osteoporosis Reversal Program, then you know that it advocates getting as many nutrients from foods as possible. Smoothies are an excellent and easy way to achieve that.

Smoothies make it really easy to drink your way to stronger, youthful bones, because they pack so many alkalizing foods into one glass. Mixing in some acidifying but bone-healthy foods, such as blueberries, makes a healthful, pH-balanced smoothie.

Pineapple And Greens

Natural source of: Vitamin K, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Manganese, folate, Magnesium, Iron, Vitamin C, Vitamin B2, Calcium, Potassium, Vitamin B6, Vitamin E, Copper, Vitamin B1.

Ingredients

  • 1 handful pineapple chunks
  • 1 celery stalk, sliced
  • 1 handful spinach leaves
  • 5 ice cubes (can replace with 1/4 cup distilled or purified water)

Directions

  1. Put all ingredients in a blender and blend at high speed until smooth.
