Rock stars, movie stars, sports stars… they're always hounded by the press with endless questions. And for a good reason. Everyone wants to know what they’re doing right, how they’ve achieved their success, so that they can too do the same.
Today, let's explore the 9 habits of “bone health stars”. These habits seem to be prevailing traits among Save Our Bones community members. Go through the list and see how many of the habits you demonstrate.
#1 – They don’t dwell on the details.
It’s never “all or nothing.” They know that each small change counts, and they take action right away. Instead of waiting to find out everything they should do for their bone health, they get started without procrastinating.
#2 – They’re aware of their own decision-making power.
They never consider themselves victims of an osteoporosis diagnosis. Instead, they realize that with the right knowledge they have the power to take control of their bone health.
#3 – They learn from like-minded peers.
They find like minded individuals and learn from them. And that's what the Save Our Bones community is all about. To inform and support those who wish to take immediate action on their bone health. And to let truth seekers like you know that you are not alone.
#4 – They believe their actions will yield results.
Thanks to their unwavering belief rooted in knowledge, they know that their actions will yield the desired results. So it's a domino effect. Their strong belief, causes them to take action. And their correct actions lead to their desired results. Many in the Save Our Bones community have adopted this belief/action/result way of thinking, and have had outstanding results. Click here to read the Real Life Results.
#5 – They formulate a clear path and stick to it.
Rather than trying many different things, they are determined to get started and follow their chosen path, and most importantly, to stick to it. They know that the right bone health plan is all they need. I call this the ‘Fox and Cat Principle' and you can read more about it here.
#6 – They're secure in their decisions and don't mind criticism.
Because they know that their decisions are based on sound and true science, they feel secure about the path they’ve chosen. They are not vulnerable to criticism and don't let it get to them. Read more about this concept in my article titled ‘A Tale of Two Ladies'.
#7 – They adapt well to their surroundings and circumstances.
While others get stressed about how to apply bone-healthy solutions when out of their comfort zone, they are relaxed and create ways to fit their natural bone health plan into any real-life situation. For an example, click here.
#8 – They question everything and ask the right questions.
They are inquisitive, analytical, and question everything. More importantly, they ask the right questions. For example, they don’t ask which osteoporosis drug is better. Instead, they ponder if taking osteoporosis drugs is a good idea to begin with. And they often arrive at the right answers because they trust themselves. For more on this read ‘Whom Should You Trust?'.
#9 – They're happy to share their knowledge.
They are constantly seeking out new knowledge, and what they learn doesn't stop with them. They want to share the information with friends and family, always giving more than what they’ve received.
And remember, as Robert Collier has said,
“Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.”
To your bone health success!

Hi, thank for all your help and information. Diagnosed with osteoporosis and doctor ordered fosamax. I refuse to take it so my rheumatologist says that there is no need to make any appointments unless I decide to do what he says or suggests.
Guess it doesn’t matter that I have rheumatoid arthritis. Oh well, bye bye doctor.
Again thank you Vivian. -
hello vivian, happy summers in your country

Dear Vivian,
Thanks to you I have gone from Osteoporosis in my left hip -2.680 to Osteopenia -2.355 (also improved my spine)this past year without taking any drugs. Two years ago I was diagnosed with Osteoporosis, and my doctor prescribed Boniva. I searched the Internet and found your website, read about Boniva, and said NO to this drug. I followed your Saveourbones Program to some degree and took New Chapter Bone Strength Calcium tablets (770 mg/day).
The first year there was only slight improvement in my density and my doctor prescibed Fosamax. He and his nurse said I could not improve my density without taking this medication. I said NO again and my wife and I studied the Alkalizing and Acidifying foods in more detail. We changed our diets including when we eat out to be much more alkaline. Now the results after one year have shown the progress I have made, and I am even more encouraged to follow your diet plan closer.
My doctor no longer prescribes a drug and has changed my bone density test to once every two years now. I am disappointed (but noy surprised) that he did not acknowledge my positive results. If I were him I would want to know how I did it so he could help other people with a natural solution.
I have been spreading the word about your program and will continue to do so.
Thank you so much for being such a carrying person and educating us on the right thing to do.
God Bless,
Gary -
Dear Vivian
I send you my best greetings..
I had pain in my left knee due to a previous car accident 20 years ago … Last winter the pain was unbearable and kept me from sleep and daily activities ,,, I went to a specialist orthopedic who prescribed Bonviva 150 , Vitamin D3 , Vitamin D , Caltrate 600 with Vitamin D plus an injection in the knee I was also taking Lipodar 40 for Cholesterol and Atacand for high blood pressure t,,, I was pleased at the beginning because the pain has gone and I kept taking these medications for 8 months during which I noticed many side effects such as hair loss ,, joins pain started all over my body including back pain ,,, and of course fatigue and weakness ,, I started then reading the leaf lets of all those medications and I was astounded to see the side of effect of those medications then I searched the web and I really was so mad at the result; so I stopped taking any thing except Caltrate 600 with vitamin D one a day ,,, Can you imagine what poisons I have been putting into my body ,,, they even cause cancer in the long term ,,, This is where I saw your name so I decided to join your site so I advice every person who has a problem with bones to join this site and read well before taking any medications ,,,eating healthy food ,,,walking ,,, doing exercise is much more effective and better than accumulating poisons into your body – which will end up in killing you slowly ,,
Thanks a lot dear Vivian
I wish you health & happiness -
To: Vivian,
I Just finished reading 60 pages of “save our bones” and happy to find out that prescription drugs are not the solution. I read about your alkaline diet and how eating the right foods and exercise are the way to go. Thanks
for enlightening me. I have a whole new way of watching my bone health. -

Great information. Had a bone scan and it showed that I had a -2.5 that had been -2.4 two years before. It was suggested that I consider taking 50,000 mg of Vitamin D a week. That sounded over the top to me. I went to my regular doctor and she did the blood tests for vitamin D. Everything was normal. So I have a decision to make. My doctor felt that was a lot of Vitamin D, too. Have not talked to my GYN about it yet. These are tough decisions. I was on Fosamax and Evista for a while at the same time. Then the doctor said why are you on both and I said you tell me. She took me off Evista but I stayed on Fosamax. This was before I ever heard of the dangers of the drugs. I started aerobics and dance classes. I am getting weight training and strength training. I would just like to hear what you think. Thanks for any help you can give me on this. I have just lost faith in the medical profession. My regular doctor said that in the past ten years, my numbers have not changed much and she wasn’t overly concerned.

Vivian, I also would like to know about the drug Zometa. My father has been on Zometa IV once a month for the last 2 years since he was diagnosed with metastasis in his bones. He has a lot of pain 1-3 days after receiving the drug. Is there a better solution?
-
I appreciate you.

But what about the ones that make tons of money advertising BAD drugs on tv? People think they have access to the best info, and believe them, and fall into their trap.

Despite living on a regime of drugs for my kidney transplant my bone density has not deteriorated since the surgery in 2010. I have followed Vivian’s 80-20 balance alkaline food diet and defied my doctors with the figures from bone density tests. My doctors have to admit that, allowing for different test machinery and the vagaries of the test, my bone density has not got worse, which is what they predicted. I walk 6 days a week, up hill, and try to do weights three days a week. I put 7kg of weights into a back pack and wear it on the front of my body – not the back – which I find much easier. I then do 100 sit ups, 25 at a time, with a small break between. I know my bones have improved just from the strength in my finger nails. Apart from these successes I feel really well. My renal doctors say they would be out of a job if all their patients were like me!!
