The study found that chickpea compounds called isoflavones affect bone metabolism by stimulating bone formation and inhibiting bone resorption. In animal studies, the review found that chickpeas might prevent osteoporosis caused by low estrogen levels.1

Bone-Nourishing Curry
pH-Balanced
4-6 Servings
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons coconut or avocado oil
- ½ small yellow onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large green or yellow bell pepper
- 2 cups eggplant, peeled and cubed
- 2 cups butternut squash, peeled and cubed
- 2 cups water
- 1 ¾ cups tomato sauce
- 15 ounces organic chickpeas, canned, drained and rinsed
- 1 ½ cups coconut milk
- 1 ½ tablespoons curry powder
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 ½ cups greens (kale or Spinach), roughly chopped
Directions:
- Prepare all vegetables and set aside.
- Heat a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the coconut oil, then the onion and bell pepper. Cook for 3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the onion softens.
- Add the eggplant and garlic. Cook for 3 minutes, stirring often, until the eggplant begins to soften.
- Pour in the water to deglaze the pot, scraping up any browned bits.
- Add the butternut squash, tomato sauce, coconut milk, curry powder, ginger, and black pepper. Stir well and reduce heat to medium.
- Simmer uncovered for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the butternut squash is nearly tender.
- Stir in the chickpeas and cook for 5–10 minutes, until heated through.
- Serve over rice, if desired,
Remove from heat and fold in the greens until just wilted.

Estrogen isn’t just a “female” hormone; it’s a necessary hormone for men too, and maintaining the correct balance between testosterone and estrogen is key for male health, just as it is for female health. I will hav 2 soak & boil up the chickpeas, as I don’t think we hav organic chickpeas in a tin – however, u hav 2 b careful of tined food, as the aluminum seeps out in2 the food, which is dangerous!
