I have been using your book and dying to follow – BUT I am confused about greek plain yogurt- Will it help with calcium without being acidic? I get acid reflux symptoms and need to control that- My osteoporosis is -2.5 at spine and -.3 at femoral neck- It was bad in 2008, but I got my period and it went to -2.1in my spine in 2010 THen It went down drastically after I had my ovaries removed in 2010:Also what about lemon in water for acidity issue and reflux?? Thanks Gail

Happy New Year Vivian and a big thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your info concerning our bone health. It is comforting to know that someone cares. You are opening our eyes to let us see that we can improve our bone health without the pharmaceuticals.
I have been with the program for about 18 months now and can’t wait to find out the result of my next bone scan. I know that I am feeling better since I’ve been on the program and now it is part of my life style.
I am always enjoying reading your material that which is well researched.
A very happy 2013 and take care.
    Lise

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

Lise, thank you for your kind comments and well-wishes for the New Year!

  6. Ann C.

I need help with my ribs. First an MRI, then a cat scan diagnosed that I have calcified ribs. My entire left rib cage hurts . During this past yr. My bone density cat scan showed huge progress in my osteoporosis, but my ribs still hurt a lot. Should I not take calcium? I now take calcium, magnesium, and Vit . D supplements. My Dr is no help along these lines. I am very concerned about my continuing rib condition and ongoing pain. It is severe enough that I have to take pain Meds. Please tell me what you think. I have been on your program for over a yr.
    Sincerely,
    Ann C

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

Ann, that’s wonderful news about the progress in your osteoporosis! Congratulations! I do wish you a quick recovery from the pain. Do you have access to a holistic or naturopathic doctor? He or she can go over your health history with you and hopefully come up with some solutions that you are comfortable with. 🙂

  7. Peggy Nadin

Have lost the information you gave on what to take before meals for acid reflex. Remember it was apple cider vinegar but not what ingredient with it. I want to try it instead of the medication I have been taking.
    Thanks,
    Peggy

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

Peggy, I don’t recall a specific formula for preventing acid reflux, but I have heard from many in the Save Our Bones community who have gotten rid of acid reflux by following the Osteoporosis Reversal Program! I used to also suffer from acid reflux, but since I’ve been on the program, acid reflux is a thing of the past. I hope it will be for you too!

  9. Elef

Happy New Year Vivian. Thank you for your advises that I try to follow as much as possible. There are almost two years that I have followed your advice and I stopped taking Fosamax although I had not side-effects of it. Now, in January I will have my bone scan and I will let you know the results. I hope that it must be OK. Thank you for all.
    Elef

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

I hope you’ll share the results with us, Elef – but remember, bone density is only part of overall bone health! I wish you great results!

  10. Katie

I wish you a Happy New Year Vivian, and want to thank you for all the information you continually put my way. Here in Scotland no-one works on january 1st – nor even today come to that, so thank you for this as I can sit back relax and take it all in…

  11. janet UK

Just want to say thank you vivian! Hate to think where I would be now if I hadn’t followed your programm for almost a year! I Was diagnosed in 2007 when I was in hospial with polymyalgia and my rhumatologist found lots of broken bones in my spine and ribs! I new I’d hurt myself in the past, but never realized! Took bisphosphonates and prednisalone for over 4 yrs but thanks to you got myself off all medication! Love to follow your advise! Thank you!

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

Great news that you’re medication-free! Thanks for sharing, Janet.

  12. Nu Ly

Vivian, Happy New Year and to all community.

It happened through my fault, I didn’t follow up your program completely.
Since I change the water several months ago, plus I learn Gi-cong, my
high blood presure goes down 105-118 in all month, it makes me very happy.
I had severe osteoporosis, in Nov. 2011 my T-score 3.4, I fell down several time in the wet season, but I didn’t break any bones. The reason
might be I do excercise for jumping 28 years, at lease 5 days a week, take
about 25-30 minutes, sometimes to pretice body balance, I don’t know my bone density now.

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

Exercise is so important, Nu Ly! Thank you for reminding us of what a positive effect it has on our bone health.

  13. Minnie Brummer

I live in South Africa and was diagnosed in March 2011, used prescribed drugs for 8 months, then discovered the information you supply via e-mail and stopped using the drugs. I have made changes according to your information and went for a bone density test in October 2012. My AP Spine (L1-L4) g/cm2 changed from 0.774 to 0.810, T-Score -2.5 to -2.2, Z-Score -1.2 to -.08. Femoral Neck (left) changed from g/cm2 0.722 to 0.739, T-Score from -1.1 to -1.0. The diagnosis is now Osteopenic and I know if I carry on applying these principles, the result will be normal when I have to go for a test again in 3 years’ time. Thank you so much for all the valuable information I receive regularly. Kind Regards, Minnie

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

Wonderful news, Minnie! Perfect for ringing in the New Year…

  14. Peter

Sorry, Vivien, your top video was dead, yesterday, & is still dead!!

  15. Virginia

It is actally a pleasure to read the comments: HOPE from you and each one expressing HOPE from their use, RESULTS–healthier, scans improving.

At 3 months till 92 years, there have been falls but no broken bones (Except for several toes.) As teenager. femily chores of lifting water, coal, wood daily. On the farm there was a large garden of many vegetables which tasted good. (The garden included flowers. Because of altitude, required planting and removing so bulbs were not frozen in the spring or fall.) Limited juices and deserts, unpasteurized milk. Then years of being in the urban area. However. DEXA indicated osteoporosis over ten years ago. Not sure of status currently. No drugs used; still none. Do use supplements.

My mother had chiropractic before I was born; I am one. Your study and development is great for me and patients. Will be reading and re-reading from your work and applying.

Happy New Year! Thank you for seeing the need and sharing your work!

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

Fascinating story, Virginia! Thank you for sharing that with the community.

  16. Helen

It’s impossible to thank you enough for all you give to all of us. You’ve changed my life, literally turning fear of a doctor’s prediction I’d wind up in a wheelchair, to the joy of facing each new day knowing my bones are not just OK but getting stronger through diet, exercise, the right supplements, and meditation – all the hands-on wisdom you have bestowed on us.

I was diagnosed with osteoporosis 19 years ago, and am just fine, thanks to you.

Abundant joy to you in the coming year. You’ve certainly given that to me.

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

Helen, that means a lot – thanks so much for sharing, and you are most welcome.

  17. charles white

hy viv love your program saving our bones is very vital am reading and folowing Introction thank you

  18. Christine Childs

Had a very bad fall middle 2012 – was cleaning cobwebs from the ceiling of my bedroom (a height of 9 foot 6 inches) when I missed a tread and fell sideways onto the thick wooden part of my bed I am a very thin person (no real fat on me) and yet I did not break or fracture any bones. My doctor was astounded (she has been trying to get me to take medication but I have refused). Just goes to show what you have been saying. Thank you Vivian and all the best for the New Year.

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

Congratulations! I am glad your fall was not damaging! Maybe you can find someone else to clean those cobwebs next time… 😉

  19. Karen Stryker

CONGRADUALATIONS VIVIAN you’re an amazing wizard on social media!!! Wish I knew how to do that my book SILENT THINK TIME.

  20. Constance

Years ago my doctor put me on fosamax which I took for one month only. I simply did not believe I had osteoporosis. From a child I was described as `light boned` or `small boned`and my friends would wrap their fingers around my tiny wrists. I was never àverage`so how could anyone compare me to the àverage` 20 year old.

I am now 85 years old, no pain, no joint problems, and able to do squats and stretches. I follow a bone healthy diet.

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

Everyone’s bodies are different, and you certainly are a great example of how there’s no medical “box” that fits everyone. 🙂

  21. Becki

Thank you for all your informative information…I have taken baby steps to change but I am doing what I can to keep myself off drugs that my Osteoporotic doctor wants to put me on…but guess what even my family doctor has backed off pushing those drugs on me now, because he knows what can happen to your bones after a while of being on those drugs. So, I thank my Lord that he is directing me, and thankful I found you on the internet.

May you have a blessed year and keep the information coming..I thoroughly enjoy reading all you publish.

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

You’re welcome, Becki, and best wishes moving forward with your health in the upcoming year!

  22. Maria J.Mckenney

I have Generalized osteoarthrosis involving multiple sites; rheumetoid artritis and may more…… Maria J. Mckenney

  23. Evelyn Slusky

Thanks, Vivian, for giving us all the healthy tips and advice this past year to help us keep our bones strong. You are to be commended for all the research and hard work you do for us. If it weren’t for the your informative and bone saving info, I would be taking drugs for my osteoporosis. After following your program in 2010, my bone density greatly improved in 2011, and I’m sure I’ll have even more encouraging scores, when I have my next bone density exam in 2012.
May you and your family have a healthy, happy New Year!
    Evelyn S.

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your awesome improvement, Evelyn! Keep us posted 🙂

  24. .Martha

    Shula

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

      Thank you, Shula!

  28. Christine

I have been taking your diet advice for the best part of a year now, have given up my medication and above all I have stopped worrying about whether my osteoporosis is worsening or not. Go to Tai Chi where I was taught how to truly relax, exercise when and how and also walk a lot. All this has given me peace of mind . Thank you for all the support you pass on via your e-mails. Have a great 2013. : )

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

      Yeah!

  29. Pat

I have been on the Save Our Bones program for just about a year now. Has anyone had a improved bone scan story that they can encourage me with?

    Thanks in advance, Pat

  30. Cynthia Kuehn

Vivian….I enjoy everything you send me on Bone Health. I have continued to stay on your Osteoporosis Reversal Program. I hope my next Bone Density is better than the last. I am a much healthier person eating 24 + fruits and veggies daily. This also helps the Fibromyalgia I fight on a dalily basis. I have given your program to friends and my Rheumatologist. I beleive in your program. I take no meds. I eat a good diet and exercise everyday. Happy New Year! Keep the good info coming. Thank You.

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

That’s what I’m talking about, Cynthia!

  31. Vera thomaas

I am 82 years old. fell in one of my flower gardens on Sept 25th. i was badly injured but did not break or fractured a bone. The recovery has been slow but I know you have given me the informantion to have strong bones. Can’t thank you enough.
    Vera

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

Vera, I’m so glad you didn’t fracture any bones! But don’t thank me… instead, pat yourself on the back for making the right decision. Here’s proof that healthy and nourished bones don’t fracture easily… Hang in there, I’m sure you’ll experience a full recovery from this fall 🙂

  32. Micky Winchester

Hi Vivian, Thank you for all your continuing help. A happy new year to you and your family.

I have read so many positive comments here. Just want to share my results. Within 6 months of using your program, my bone scan has continued to go from -2.4 to -2.6 and in my hips from -.6 to -.8 . Not sure what to think of this esp. after reading all the other positive results???

    • Customer Support

Sara, please contact Customer Service directly by clicking the smiley face at the top of the page and we’ll help you with your question. And remember: the goal is to prevent fractures rather than to have dense but not renewed dried-up bones that occur with osteoporosis drugs. Be well!

  36. Joan Elliott

    Dear Vivian,

I have been a member for a long time – and I would like to thank you for always being available to help me. Over the years, I have inundated you with questions regarding products as I tried to interpet the difference between those sold in the USA and Canada. You have educated me and have been a shining light that has guided me when I felt as if I was in the dark.

    Thank you is not enough…

    Joan

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

And I thank you for being a valuable Save Our Bones community member, Joan!

  37. Ethel Green

    Dear Vivian,
thank you or all you do for us that reassures us that we are doing the right thing in not taking medicines that would be bad for us. Have a Happy and Healthy New Year. Ethel

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

      Thanks, Ethel!

  38. Fotios

I want to thank you Vivian for promoting natural ways of strenthening our bones and making us aware that drugs only weaken them.To me all drugs are useless and very dangerous to our well being. Sure they might make you feel better but they don’t solve the problem. The pharmacutical industry coupled with the corrupt medical etablishment is a multi-billion dollar a year buisiness with one aim and thats just to make a profit; taking advantage of our misery and giving us drugs that only make us feel a little better while raking in the money! Hippocratis(the father of medicine)thousands of years ago said :”LET FOOD BE THY MEDICINE AND MEDICINE be thy FOOD” but instead of medicine improving through the years it has been corrupted and getting worse. Our economic problems reflect that we wast a great deal of money on health care. When will people realize that drugs are useless and dangerous? Our lives will dratically improve when that happens-fortuneatly we are begining to realize it! Natural Healing is gaining popularity because people know mainstream medicine is inefficient!Happy NEW YEAR Vivian and thanks to your efforts I know 2013 will be a healthier year -Fotios

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

      Amen!

  39. Llevelyse lShepley

Vivien, I am so pleased that you have stayed with me over the last 3 months, when I stopped taking Protos. I had been on Fosamax and Protos for 10 years. I have put what I have learned through you into practice, and I have a Naturopath who is on my side. Also my GP said that I was young enough to try something ese. It is not often someone tells me that I am young enough at 67 years of age. Without your regular contact though, I know that I would be doing it tough.

I feel so much better in myself, particularly not feeling so tired. I am actually able to stay up and see a movie now, whereas before my husband would do the viewing and I would be in bed. Also I don’t have the diarrhoea anymore.

I congratulate you on the work that you are doing and being an inspiration to us all.

Happy New Year and may 2013 be kind to us all.

    With love,
    Llevelyse

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

Thanks for your kind words, and congratulations to you for taking your bone health into your own hands… I’m so happy that you’re feeling better and that you can now enjoy life without the often insidious side effects of osteoporosis drugs. You’ve made the right decision!

  40. Ann C.

2012 was the yr I reclaimed my bones thanks to the Save our Bones program. I didn’t follow it strictly. But it gave me the information I needed. I went from having severe osteoporosis of the spine in Sept 2011 …to Osteopinia in Sept 2012. The program helped me to learn about the bad drugs the Dr wanted me to take. I will continue to follow thecprogram the rest of my life. I am a 78 yr old lady. I feel better then I did a yr ago, and will always be thankful that I had the information to heal my bones.
    Sincerely,
    Ann C.

    • Vivian Goldschmidt, MA

That’s wonderful news, Ann! I’m so glad that thanks to the Program, your bones have become strong and healthy – from severe osteoporosis to osteopenia (and in just one year!). May you continue in this path for years to come 🙂
